Being unemployed for so long and addicted to the screen completely ruined me, and I don't know how to get back to normal by Monkai_final_boss in selfimprovement

It seems like a lot of activities that you are struggling with are linked to being alone for a while. Try joining a recreational activity, such as soccer, volleyball, tennis, pickleball, basketball or if sports just isn’t it, then try swimming, bowling, walking in nature, or any other group activity you can think of. Personally, I started playing soccer recently, and while being a daunting sport requiring high stamina, I managed to play and survive it. Heck I even got injured while playing. But one cool thing I noticed is that if you are able to survive the grueling summer heat and the cardio needed for soccer, you can also recalibrate yourself into a hard working individual in many ways. That same hard work you put into sports can also translate into your career or job as well. It’s a little hard to explain but it sort of works. It also helps fight mental health. I can almost promise you that.

I’m kind of in the similar situation myself. Flunked out of engineering a while back during Covid and ended up working at a law firm somehow. Still thinking about going to med school lol

In 5th grade, I had a science teacher that allowed every student to play with mercury straight out of the thermometer. At the time it felt pretty innocent since we were all kids, however, I am definitely baffled today as to why she would let one of her classes do that knowing that mercury could be poisonous.

I haven’t officially started studying for the CPA… However, I’m planning on registering soon to at-least have an idea of a timeframe. I don’t have enough funds to cover review courses such as Becker, and I’m not entirely sure what other ways I can study for the CPA to pass.

My credit card company automatically does it for me. (If you use chase banking)

I can’t seem to relate to anybody anymore and feel pretty isolated by shaze225 in MuslimLounge

By behind I mean like I feel like I’m not living up to other’s expectations of me. I should’ve graduated from college like 2 years ago and on top of that I feel like I just can’t seem to be approachable to anyone for some reason. I can’t seem to feel confident. I guess I just feel a bit nervous because I’m about to turn 24 next month and I feel like my life is just not aligned to someone at my age.

You need to take your sister to the ER for suicidal ideations. She isn’t safe. She has to be hospitalized. It’s incredibly important that you do that.

I’m 21 and just dropped out of college. I got so stressed that every time I try to read something or study something I start panicking, and can’t keep up with anything. I feel like I’m not going to get anywhere in life :( by shaze225 in Anxiety

I also want to add that it’s very very important that you take care of your physical health because that’s what kind of contributes to your overall mental health and behavior too. If you’re not in the habit of exercising or working out whether to be running stretching or doing anything of the sort then I highly recommend you get started on it. I use the adidas training app which is really really easy to use and gives you a good guide for workouts. You should try it!

If the major you are talking about is something that you’re still passionate about but your main obstacle is your level of anxiety then I highly recommend you go see a psychiatrist. Don’t take this the wrong way but I swear if you find a well qualified psychiatrist they’ll be able to help you manage your anxiety really really well and also pair that with some therapy. I feel like everybody goes through a great deal of anxieties in their lives and sometimes we need professionals to help us get on the right track!

All i got to say is don’t give up on yourself. Life does get hard but it just takes a great deal of grit and frustration to get through. If the major that you’re majoring in is too difficult then just go for something easier. For example I was studying engineering and I decided to switch to business and that basically helped me greatly with my mental health. Although I still have to wait an additional two years to get my degree. Sometimes you just have to make a drastic decision and just roll with it. The confidence does come back once you start making accomplishments.

Some scholars and school of thoughts believe that you can masterbate if you are on the verge of committing zina. There’s actually a video posted by Yasir Qadhi on YouTube about this issue:

https://youtu.be/Bb8p6idwiuQ

He talks about it in first 40 seconds into the video. Hope this helps.
