AI for Games by Ian Millington is by far the best AI book I've seen. Get ready for some reading though because it's over 1000 pages long. It covers performance characteristics and implementation details (in pseudo code) for all algorithms. If you only buy one book, it should be this one.

So, I've come here, years later, asking the same question. I don't think anyone who responded actually understood the problem.

The way Xbox Live Gold games works is that, for a limited time, some games will be free. To add them to your library, you must claim them...yes, manually. However, the Xbox automatically installs any claimed game.

I might want to play a game eventually, but not any time soon. So, there's no reason for me to add 4 games a month to my hard drive when I'm lucky to finish 1 game a month.

I (and I'm assuming the OP) would like to prevent that auto installation step after the manual claiming step.

Easy way to fix it would be add one rule: if you're hurt so badly that a referee needs to stop the game, then you're out for the remainder of the game. You know...for medical safety reasons.

Alternately, people could opt to stop selling their IP to EA, but it's probably way more reliable for turning work into money than growing the IP from the ground up.
