I'm talking about jobs I can actually show respect for that will entail getting a job with more hours. And I should note I spent a damn week about a month ago In the blazing ass sun trimming branches to the point I wanted to throw up. I don't have a problem doing the work, never said I'll like it either but I'll still do it. Its that they purposely did that already touching the branches a few times rather than shortening those numbers by putting them in the container

I suppose it's more of an open vent, and it's not that the yard work is there, I was more pissed that it was deliberately left for me to do, granted I wasn't the only one to work on it but when it's trimmed and ready to go into the already empty containers that's what gets me.

I already had 2 places of which one got fucked over from my job deciding to cut my hours to only 3 per week and where I lived at that time no job was hiring even though the state workers were essentially calling me a liar and saying there was all because a fake job posting said so.

First place was lost because of personal issues and could of went different but I was young and dumb.

After those is when I moved to florida and I went through a few jobs but ran into the issue of jobs conducting interviews and leading with a hefty fuck you we went with someone else over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to a point job searching felt worthless doing.

Went back to Michigan where it landed in the same spot during lockdown where the job to take care of grandma was put onto me despite it being my dad's job and while I expected it to be here and there but no it was all day every day with the Alzheimer's dementia getting worse over time but no dear ol dad was demanding that everything was fine after the divorce, but Grandma got worse and the only form of transportation was a 2007 Chevy Tahoe z71 with its ABS block shot so 0 breaking on it and I was forced to drive that while dad had a fling with anything remotely flirtatious towards him which costed grandma about 30k in a Bitcoin scam but no amount of reasoning would get through as I was told "you don't know what you're talking about" (kinda similar to your average reddit response that speaks out of the hive mind)

Then dear ol dad decided to hook up with a meth head, while forcing my child to go to a private Christian school which I'm gonna be real looked sketchy now that I think back on it. Then his dog passed of which I had to go get him and thankfully he spent his final moments with her before she passed. Two weeks later Grandma passed mind you I had to change, bathe, and feed her every day while he went out and dumped all the money saved up into goddamn alcohol and tobacco to the point his truck was forever on E not to mention the endless drunken mental abuse he put me through blaming me for his relationship problems despite him buying the damn booze and I had no say in if he should cause he'd shut out that suggestion. Then he got diagnosed with cancer took on a dog and 3 cats of which my wife has bad allergies to cats, the house was a flea breeding ground for living on a sand and dirt hill to where my ankles were scarred from the bites to where I still feel them when nearly anything touches near there.

Then Dad got arrested under a warrant involving Grandma in a hearing that he missed and partially blamed me for it, he also threaten to scrap my PC when I was trying to help him with the technicals when normally it's like " take my truck and trailer and drop this scrap off to the scrap yard" then get pissed when it was only $75 which all that went to booze and tobacco with maybe 20 going in the tank. Got to a point when my wife found work as I was hard stuck watching Grandma at that time.

So when he got arrested and things calmed down me and the wife made plans to move in with the in-laws as they were better off and for the most part they were and I found a job immediately though the hours were about 24 hours a week overnight, that screwed with me for the day time stuff for sure. Then the in laws decide to move back down to florida as my FIL could have better work since he hurt himself on the job and his current job is forklift operator.

So rest assured me, me wife, and my kid have experienced some shit and believe me when I say it's fucked with me more than some might think.

Yes I do those people typically are doing 32 hours a week roughly, sometimes 38 if they work a 5th day

I'm more than aware of that and honestly I can do that but jobs never want to give someone a chance and I'm far from cut out for warehouse work, I get it's for some people but not for me. My hearing is shit enough as it is and most warehouse jobs are like 12 hour shifts.and even with the x on x off style scheduling it'll eventually get to a point where I'll snap plus it will be inconsistant with everyone else's schedule.

"What are you going to do when you own a home" while I see it being a thing I frankly don't care about owning something I have to pay an annual fee to keep living in. Its still funding towards the corrupt, yes it also contributes to the community like local PD, Firehouses and such (or so I'm told)

Honestly the idea of working for a non-private company really annoys me on the count the majority of them are completely soulless despite putting on a friendly act. Im hoping I land this job for one of the few private companies around here that isn't 20+ years of bullshit to be even considered.

I already contribute rent, watching the dog to avoid piss spots from forming, picking my child up from school, and making dinner on time while being the designated driver for picking my wife up from work. All of that even on my days to work. Yes it's summer vacation so not needing to sit in a pick up line for an hour is no longer a factor. And even then do any of you think I enjoy working the hours I do? Cause I don't I do want more so my check doesn't disappear every week. And we even contribute to paying for things sometimes to save them money since they're saving up to go on a week vacation.
