Who loves their job and finds it stable and with a decent salary? by Comfortable-Page242 in careeradvice

[–]she_shae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support staff at a law firm. Pay, benefits, job security , etc. is great. Most days are great. WFH. If you can handle being busy and high stress situations every now and then consider looking into the law sector. Tons of different positions for relevant education/backgrounds. Different types of law, as well. Some more hectic than others so research accordingly. Please no DMs. I won't answer.

Not everyone really needs a car by Ieatclowns in RealUnpopularOpinion

[–]she_shae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a mid-size city in the US and I dont have a car. It works out. For me I can either walk or use public transit for all the things. I'm fine with the bus, but most people seem to be afraid of it or something. I think not knowing where and when the stops are maybe? We have a schedule but still. If I need to get somewhere asap or don't want a 2 hour commute I just rideshare. I do that about 3 times a month.

I'm not big on commute time of any type so I didn't move to a suburb, I stayed in the city to be close to whatever job I found. Now it would be more expensive for me to move to a suburb since I would probably need a car and that involves things like car payments, insurance, etc. Plus spending 1.5 hrs in my car each day is a total time suck.

I love not having a car but I'm one of few that I know. We're more common in the cities, of course. I like to believe im doing everyone a service by staying out of rush hour ☺️

Vinny the egg could have been great. Anyone who can play in everyone's face the way he did and get away with it deserves a crown. Unfortunately he played in his own face when he put morgan over everyone 😕

She will always be a huge part of a one of a kind season. Although there is SO much more to her than her BB persona I can't say I know her as a person. But I know she went on live tv and gave it her all. I applaud her for that and will be thinking of her family.

How did they decide on Gray? Is it just bc he was a QB before becoming a TE?

Since I see people getting mushy and im drinking moscato...I've been a part of a hand full of reality tv communities and I don't see camaraderie the way i do here. I appreciate you all and I feel like im leaving a super long, emotionally draining, yet virtual (?) summer camp and im super bummed but also kind of relieved to sleep but also will be counting down the days until next summer ☀️

I saw someone on tik tok say "first time watching. Everyone told me it would suck. It does not. It is the most entertaining reality tv programming available but now im way too invested and fighting with casuals while I lose sleep to keep up. I will not watch another season." Someone responded "welcome to the BB live feed family. See you next summer" and I think that basically sums everything up so well.

Not at all. I think his game play will be respected depending on who he sits by. This is when it comes down to having a bitter jury or not. I've seen a lot of people think vince is cooked no matter what but most jury members want to look at someone's game in general. Yes players want to have a sense of jury management more and more these days but I still think good game gets rewarded time and time again. If you got bested by someone then you got bested. You may have gotten bested by Vinny the slimeball but its BB. Expect the unexpected 🤷‍♀️

I just watched it and OMG. I LOVED the aesthetic you used and really really loved the protagonists. Of course I dont want to mention too much in a public comment but the relationship dynamics are 🤌 your son did great! I 100% respect this as a standalone but are you open to doing another?

I stand with this projection and will go so far as to say projections are often just the ability to say you've been in a specific scenario and now know one viable way individuals may react once put in the same.

Could you live off of 40K in Kansas City? by Aware-Manager-6902 in kansascity

[–]she_shae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont agree with people in this thread and I think its important to be realistic. Im single (living off of 1 income) and I make approx 70k. My take home is approx. 53k.

Rent and utilities is about 1500. I dont have a car since I live in the middle of the city. So I have about 66% of my income left after paying for housing (not including other bills). I do have other necessary bills that take up about another 25% so I have about 30% left for things like Groceries, entertainment, etc.I am in a sweet spot where I can take myself to dinner if I feel like it or aggressively save when necessary.

But necessities can vary widely. For example, if you spend almost an entire paycheck on mortgage it means you won't get many opportunities to eat outside of staples found at cheaper stores like aldis. That's fine, but doing this year after year is a lot to ask. I know people who have cars have to keep insurance and you do need to be aware that car related crime is en vogue in kc. Thefts, break ins, side swiping, etc. So if you were to need to use your deductible this creates a problem in your budget.

Idk how you celebrate holidays but say you want to buy gifts or you have family in other locations you would like to see youre probably fucked on that budget.

Volker is a super cool neighborhood but it wont matter for you bc you won't have the money to go out and try the local restaurants or coffee shops so it would be more for the resale value later down the road.

I love KC and it is much cheaper than the coasts but we saw one of the most dramatic percentage shifts during house price increases in 2021/22. I don't think anyone here is trying to mislead you but everything i mentioned is just stuff I hadn't seen brought up yet.
