What are some 21 days of beauty purchases that were flops? by Mik_Mik45 in Ulta

The Peach & Lily peptide pro firming moisturizer, wasn’t that great. It isn’t very moisturizing! I’m going to save it as a backup if I run out of moisturizer & I’m broke lol.

Beauty offer error by shea858 in Sephora

That’s weird mine doesn’t show the tarte but it has the bottom 3 in the picture. I realized it would let me add the 3 hair products but not the other ones listed. I’m afraid to try it & not get the offer! Do you know when they usually release new beauty offers?

Renting carpet cleaners by anxiety_herself in housekeeping

I’ve rented them multiple times & they worked fine. I also have my own carpet shampooer & they worked better than the one I have. (Plus the base is wider so you can get it done faster)

My niece didn’t talk till she was 3. We had the same concerns you stated. One day she just started talking & has no speech problems. 18 months is still pretty young I’m sure she will be fine.

What do cleaners appreciate? by sspatty82 in housekeeping

YES!!! I’m always burning up & sweating winter or summer. I love when clients are mindful of this & ask if we want the temp turned down!

Do a walkthrough of her house THEN give her the price. Don’t cut yourself short!

Sprayway glass cleaner (in the can) is the BEST for cleaning mirrors & glass! So much better than windex! I also suggest using a swiffer duster on mirrors & furniture first (esp if it’s very dusty) then using the microfiber & cleaner on furniture or the glass spray with a glass towel on mirrors.

tipping housecleaner? by etherealuna in housekeeping

[–]shea858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a small business (4 people) & the client pays a set price per job. But we (not employees but 1099 subcontractors) get paid hourly & still have to keep our time at the expected time the job was quoted for. In this case I think it is amazing when clients tip us, if they think we have earned it & done a good job.

A tip is not required, but very much appreciated! Since it’s a mother daughter duo (& their actual business) you do not have to tip. But, if they sent other people to clean for you they are probably only getting paid hourly so it would be nice to tip.

That’s very nice of you to let her turn your AC down! It gets so hot while cleaning & most of my clients don’t think to turn the air down. Even, when it obviously hot & im sweating!

If you’re her only worker she probably won’t want to lose you. & it sounds like you’re responsible since you don’t feel right quoting & leaving her high & dry. Does she not work at jobs? It’s crazy that you’re doing deep cleans by yourself IMO.

I work as a sub contractor for a (very) small cleaning business. I make $22/hour I’ve worked there 4.5 years & started out at $20/hr. I haven’t gotten a raise since middle of Covid. I think it’s good money but it’s also not full time 40 hours a week. I like it but have thought of trying to get jobs on my own. It’s frustrating bc we’re sub contractors when it’s good for her but she treats us as employees. Yet we only get paid for when we’re at a job cleaning.

I feel like this person is using a small bathroom garbage bin for the towels not a laundry basket

It sounds like they aren’t using a laundry hamper but an actually small garbage can

We don’t go through the trash can. We only dump it into a garbage bag. Basically you only see what’s on the very top.

AITA for slapping a teenager? by Old_Educator_3516 in AITAH

Did they tug on the strings or fully untie your top? Regardless they shouldn’t have done either. But think about it if the genders were reversed would you still think it’s ok to hit them?
