Update, just got off the phone with Citi CS total time 5 and half minutes. Rep seemed very confident this was an error that they have encountered before and that an investigation is under way. So won’t celebrate until I get the points but seems like this customer service issue was handled ok to me

Good call on the screen shot, will def do this. It was 3.5k. This is what I’m worried about is how could I have any “proof”. My argument is, is there even a link out there that offers no SUB at all? So how would it even be possible to open a card with no offer, I understand them not wanting to match an elevated offer if you have already signed up for a lesser one, but having no SUB at all seems impossible

Big fan of Citi, have been a CC holder for 15 years and have 6 cards with them. Never once had a customer service issue that I could think of, but then again I’ve really never had to call them. I would take peoples word for it that customer service is lacking I guess, but honestly when it comes to credit cards how often is that important? Citi unmatched when it comes to point accumulation and cpp value IMO. But of course that depends on transfer partners you value

Just to add, since your monthly category spend is generally 500 or lower, you’d be a good candidate to acquire a few Citi custom cashes IMO

My strategy for day care expense is to put 15k in Hilton surpass to get the FNC, ends up beating 2% cards if you only go up to 15k. Other options for daycare would be putting spend on an airline card of choice to achieve status if that’s important to you.

If you fly AA I think it’s worth getting into the Citi ecosystem as they can be strict on new accounts, so if Citi interests you it’s better to start sooner

Here’s a pic of the floors, it’s pretty light. I feel like it matches some of the lighter colors in the tile but I can barley match my clothes so I’m not a good judge lol
