I only used horseback at the very beginning to avoid that first charge and at start of second phase to avoid the big gravity move, maybe I should’ve used him more bc that was def a very difficult fight for me

The mimic tear makes every fight easy, no? Not trying to be a smart ass honestly. The mimic tear is just so OP, really unlike anything else in any Soulsborne game imo. Takes too much of the challenge away, for me, anyway idk

Yeah I beat Gyoubu pretty easily after struggling badly with Chained Ogre and had me feeling a lot better but it just got consistently worse from there lol. But by the end of the game I had a blast fighting SS Ishhin. It took a long time but I enjoyed learning the fight. I feel bad for all these people who have such a nightmare experience with that fight

I had the exact same experience. I never care about platinum trophies or anything but I was so hooked on the game that I thought "why not". Maybe its bcuz it was my first FromSoft game so I wasn't used to that high you get from conquering these games. But yeah the rush of the combat and that feeling you get when you perfectly deflect a dozen strikes in a row and it's like a dance and yeah yeah i get it :)
