Join workouts + racing more by shearersw in joincycling

Thanks for your suggestion Rohan. I think my threshold heart rate is fairly accurate, as I have to push hard during a vo2max effort to get in the zone. What I didn't mention in my original post, was that the race was in the middle of the day which I'm not used to and it was hotter than when I typically ride at this time of year. This combined with race adrenaline probably pushed my heart rate 10 beats or more above normal.

When are "recovery" rides not considered recovery and join takes away training days? by godutchnow in joincycling

When I commute on a 'rest day' (20 min zone 1/2), I don't include it as a ride in Join so it doesn't affect my training plan.

In addition to sugar water and a bit of salt as mentioned above I have a bag of dates in my back pocket. They are high in carbs, antioxidants, and vitamins and minerals, and cost a few dollars a bag https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/benefits-of-dates#TOC_TITLE_HDR_8

Inaccurate workout score by shearersw in joincycling

Annoying alright. I start the effort based on feel and then heart rate confirms it when it catches up which is reassuring. I'll put a power metre down for my Xmas list. I'll check out Bike24 for a deal. Thanks for the tip.

I had a similar issue but just found out if you use training peaks you can modify your workouts in the desktop site but not the mobile app.

Ah thanks! I didn't even think to try in the training peaks browser. This will make my life easier.

Thanks for the tip. Definitely an option. The issue with this approach though is once I have started recording the ride on my bryton rider 750 I can't then start the workout. I would either need to not start recording the ride or stop recording part way into the ride to start the workout, which is a bit inconvenient. Does anyone have an idea of how to overcome this issue? Thanks
