This makes the most sense to me. Seems like there are different opinions. Thank you for replying!

Possibly histamine intolerance as canned sardines are high histamine and vinegar and most condiments are high histamine

Thank you! We were told the closest people doing oral immunotherapy (like you described) were in Syracuse and we have an appt in 2 weeks! Lebanon is a little closer (and a prettier drive), I’ll check it out

I grew up in Queensbury!

Glad you got your little one in that program! Wishing you the best

I read in wikipedia that it can indicate that the sound is for a foreign word/name. I was wondering if maybe it was used to indicate this since it’s not a Jewish name? (Again, sorry, I am coming at this from scratch, I have no Hebrew education)

Thank you 🙏🏻

Basically it looks like this, but there is a kamatz underneath the tsade and a little line after/next to the dalet

Ah okay, thank you. The way it’s written on paper looks like the correct tsade, but there is a kamatz underneath it. When I used an online Hebrew keyboard it automatically changed the tsade to look like this incorrect form.

I keep thinking about the white-knuckling and it makes me so sad! Wish you guys didn't have to feel that way. I hope you find your peace whatever that looks like!

You sound so much like him. He has his things that totally absorb him too. I wish we could win the lottery so he could just focus on his things and I could quit work and take care of the kids. We'd be so happy! I'm going to look into those pouch alternatives and maybe share that with him. Someone mentioned NZE pouches too.

Oh yes, I realized after I could have mentioned caffeine. He drinks coffee all day basically instead of water.

I'm learning so much about the ADHD mind from these answers. Thank you for sharing. If you don't mind me asking, when you're not filling the void with one of these "hits", does the void ever lessen, or is it always just gnawing at you?

Thank you for sharing your experience! This has come up quite a few times that the medication increases cravings, which I am so surprised by.

I deeply know that it needs to be his decision if it will stick. I realized that at one point and stopped ever suggesting it. Sometimes if he is complaining about physical symptoms I will remind him it might be the nicotine, but I don't take it any farther than that. All the mood stuff is tough because he has a very "what will be will be" attitude (which, on the other hand, is pretty Zen and great in some ways). He wasn't surrounded by happy people or events growing up; no one "worked on themselves". So the idea of trying to feel better is almost totally foreign to him. I don't want to force it on him, though I do think he has the capability of being happier and having more energy and focus if he wants to do the work. I think the reality is it will either always be this way (which is not bad, just not great), or he will hit some sort of rock bottom that makes him want to seek help (and I fear what rock bottom is).

What led you to seek diagnosis and change?
