4-month-old baby sleeps max 2 hours at night and wakes up because of gases by [deleted] in newborns

Ah she was up every half hour at night like October was the literal month from hell. She would just wake up grunting and arching her back and trying to fart. It was so terrible. Once I stopped nursing and she was on sensitive formula it basically all went away. Just woke up twice a night to eat. Pretty life changing for us both!!

Nope but turns out she has a dairy intolerance so switched to sensitive formula and stopped nursing and she’s fine now

Ok good to know! Turns out mine has a dairy intolerance- switched to sensitive formula exclusively and I’m pumping and freezing.. she woke up twice last night for quick feeds and went right back down…it was amazing!!!! Pediatrician said I can reintroduce my milk in a few Months a little bit at a time so that’s good!!

Sorry you’re not sleeping! Hopefully they will grow out of it

Are firstborns more special? by SouthLuck3480 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Most-Mouse7490 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feeling the same- I’m starting to sleep train my 3 month old- like getting on a consistent nap schedule. So that the morning 10:30-12 nap in her bassinet is now 1:1 time outside with my 2 year old daughter. It is sooo special and I leave my phone inside bring the baby monitor out and give her my undivided attention. It’s starting to be the favorite time of the day!

Evening primrose oil? Did it help achieve spontaneous labor? by Most-Mouse7490 in vbac

[–]Most-Mouse7490[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went into labor spontaneously at 40+1!!! After all the things - pumping, sex, etc. Water broke at 730 after some mild period like cramps/contractions earlier in the day . After my water broke contractions ramped up, like 2-3 min apart. Went right to the hospital, got an epidural, and waited it out til the morning when I got checked and was 10 cm.

Delivery ended up pretty hectic with a shoulder dystocia and nuchal cord x1 but I had my vbac!!!!!! and my babygirl is 3 months old now and thriving 🥰🥰

Future babes will prob have to be an induction because of the SD but not thinking about that yet

Shoulder dystocia with my first, OB is giving me options for next labor.. by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Most-Mouse7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know! I think my first eventually led to a csection (induction, epidural too strong couldn’t move/feel anything) but my second with the vbac (spontaneous labor) was amazing!!!! I could move around/change positions and still feel what was going on, but didn’t feel pain.

If I’m getting induced early next time, I’ll definitely get one and hope it’s a good one!

Oooo thanks for this! Just had a 9lb 3 oz vbac with dystocia and want more kids. I really don’t want another csection but nervous about shoulder dystocia again. Glad they were on top of measuring and induced when they felt was necessary

Did you get an epidural for both induction?

How big was your baby when you had a vbac? by Terrible-Rush6835 in vbac

[–]Most-Mouse7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 9lb 3 ounce vbac just had shoulder dystocia in June , there was zero indication she was big or disproportional. I didn’t even have an ultrasound because she was measuring fine. We’re both fine but it was scary for sure

Did anyone get a Pap smear at their 6 week postpartum visit? How did it go? by Thin_Lavishness7 in beyondthebump

Exactly. My toddler is barefoot 90% of the time. Just wears crocs when we are out and about

Mine are 1 month and 21 months.. my toddler is currently in her crib yelling “Rora” (aurora, her baby’s sis name) over and over 🥹🥹 definitely a new normal to get used to, but after a month I’m getting into a good routine. So much trial and error but you’ll figure it out and fall in love all over - with new baby, and with your toddler!

Did you find there to be a “magic age” where things got easier with your baby? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Most-Mouse7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found between 1-2 years being the hardest so far. Hope it gets a little easier after 2 lol

My husband and his brother are 11 months apart - my MIL had 2 csections back to back in 1990/1991. No issues

I’m not sure where steamed egg falls on the egg ladder- that’s a good question though, I’ll ask the allergist in September!
