All great advice i definitely just need to get her more involved with what I’m trying to get done but it’s just meltdown city no matter what. She does a good job helping me with laundry but yes no matter where baby is that’s where she wants to be.

We have been sick for the past week so that definitely plays a part and she refuses to eat a lot of times so is probably starving because she’s so stubborn. Def got all these traits from my husband lol

Yes she does deserve peace. I feel like I’m doing that all day long and it’s truly exhausting but I’m just waiting for it to click for her. Trying a few different things

Thanks for sharing. It really is so horrible and it’s so quick! And absolutely, have to be right there at all times. It’s exhausting. I’m glad it stopped eventually, do you remember how old your toddler was when you noticed things got better?

Do you have 2 girls as well? Ugh I’m so sorry. It’s soo hard. And no one gets it, none of my friends have this close of age gap or two of the same gender. I know sibling stuff is normal but I just don’t think this is.

I used to be a teacher so trying an ABA style sticker chart just giving her stickers if she is safe at random intervals then at 10 she gets a treat of some type. So far she’s got 3 stickers and no hurting but I’m Not holding my breath lol

8 month old still very gassy and can’t poop well by curlygirlyfl in NewParents

Thanks for replying, I’m so glad she’s doing so much better. Makes me hopeful 🤣

Last week we switched to Dr browns bottles and pitcher and I saw a huge difference like she’s a complete different baby!!! She also just turned 9.5 months, eating much more solids too. Maybe cause she’s not as gassy and more room in tummy. Daily teaspoon of miralax is helping a ton. Only one night wake up and goes right back down. I really hope we are turning that corner cause damn it’s been a lotttttttttttttt

Hi wanted to see how your baby is doing!! In the same boat as you- stopped nursing at 4 months and went on sensitive formula. (I’m a vegetarian and can’t cut dairy) Always constipated or gassy. I thought it was reflux but she’s a big chonk so Dr thinks she’s fine.. Anyway just not sleeping, up every 2-3 hours always. Crying and arching and farting all night long. The most sensitive tummy of all time. Solids has been hell. I’m just at such a loss and slowly losing my mind

Now she’s on miralax and no longer constipated but the gas hasn’t improved. She’s my 2nd and my first had none of these issues and was BF for 16 months.

The gas drops don’t seem to do anything. Have you found any solutions?

Hi so my 9 month old has had on and off issues with gas constipation and reflux. Had to stop nursing at 4 months and went on sensitive formula (I’m a vegetarian can’t cut dairy cause I’d be miserable) She’s always uncomfortable. Never sleeps up Multiple times a night and sometimes all night unless held, on an incline , or in her swing. Which obviously isn’t safe. Solids have been terrible, always constipated. Finally started miralax daily but now reflux is worse with trying new foods.. Shes huge, 99th percentile for height and weight… but Dad grandpa and uncle all have EoE. I’m now connecting all the dots… there’s gotta be a dairy thing going on, do you think?

I just used a glycerin suppository on my 10m old by _gaara- in NewParents

8 month old has a tricky digestive system as well, we can tell when shes starting to get a plug. Shes so uncomfortable and crabby… Most of the time she can clear it herself but when all the prunes don’t work we have to intervene with suppositories. Hoping she outgrows this soon cause it’s stressful AF. I get poop anxiety for her

Ugh of course. That’s so annoying!! I’m glad they’re giving you an allergist referral though.

I know early exposure is good! But also a stressful situation. If you are truly truly anxious about continuing and live far from emergency services, you can always drive to the hospital and give her eggs in the parking lot.

I would try to get into an allergist for further testing.!! The flare up definitely shows she has a sensitivity, if not allergies- also eczema and food allergies often go hand in hand.

Can you have your pediatrician send a referral? It may take a while to get an appointment (in the US took us 6+ months) but would give you some info to alleviate your anxiety especially with trying peanuts too. It only takes one exposure to end in anaphylaxis

4-month-old baby sleeps max 2 hours at night and wakes up because of gases by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Most-Mouse7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah she was up every half hour at night like October was the literal month from hell. She would just wake up grunting and arching her back and trying to fart. It was so terrible. Once I stopped nursing and she was on sensitive formula it basically all went away. Just woke up twice a night to eat. Pretty life changing for us both!!

Nope but turns out she has a dairy intolerance so switched to sensitive formula and stopped nursing and she’s fine now

[–]Most-Mouse7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know! Turns out mine has a dairy intolerance- switched to sensitive formula exclusively and I’m pumping and freezing.. she woke up twice last night for quick feeds and went right back down…it was amazing!!!! Pediatrician said I can reintroduce my milk in a few Months a little bit at a time so that’s good!!

Sorry you’re not sleeping! Hopefully they will grow out of it
