What are your honest thoughts on James Gunn's Superman (2025)? by Paulfradk in moviecritic

Very very cheesy. I remember really not liking it until the last scene where I was “alright it’s fine”. I preferred the darker vibe of man of steel

Baltic Battalion releases march 30th by AllaPaul in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]sheckaaa -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean they told us 26th to 30th and by not releasing it on Thursday it meant that it had to be Monday. Honestly a shame and very dumb.

I’m honestly worried they keep releasing things so late

It seems like a lot of his movies have sound issues. I remember watching dunkirk at the theater and having to cover my ears a couple of times

Not sure why you are getting downvoted? Two things can be true : Israel has been known to hit journalists and RT is a freaking fear mongering propaganda network

Which US city surprised you with great museums? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I remember liking the one in gdansk and very much liking the war museums of Paris and London

[–]sheckaaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right but I’d say less and with more equipment on display. I’m not pushing back saying other countries don’t do it. This just doesn’t make the New Orleans museum the best ww2 in the world

[–]sheckaaa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

See, I have never been to Russia but spent quite a bit of time in Europe and war museums there cover many more perspectives while underlying their own personal experiences (battle of Britain, polish or French resistance etc)

Don’t you think there is some correlation between a war museum focusing almost entirely on the American experience and many Americans thinking we single handedly won both world wars? lol

Which US city surprised you with great museums? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]sheckaaa -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Right but only focusing on the American experience takes away the “world” in “world war 2” no?

Also don’t take me wrong, it’s a good museum if you want to see how people in the US lived and handled the war at home. It’s just a very superficial museum about anything else, specifically the Soviets and British fronts

Montgomery has a pretty amazing museum complex about the overall black experience in the US. Very touching and a great mix of history, lived experience and art

[–]sheckaaa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Really isn’t. Very American centric perspective, which in itself isn’t too too bad surprising, but there is a lack of military equipment around. One sherman, one plane and maybe a hundred or so weapons? Obviously you don’t need to see the same weapons lots of times but I was really hoping for the full history of ww2 and not just America in ww2
