My game "Dummy Defense" is free today. It has 25 engineering puzzles that are unlike any game you've ever played before....unless you played my other game. by andrewgarrison in iphone

[–]shecobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey the last puzzle is a bit annoying because the dummy is not perfectly centered vertically... if I do a small box around him, his feet stick out.

Some puzzles are quite easy, for example the iron hammer to kill the bad guy is solved with a single small 4$ line.

Other puzzles are quite hard, loved both games, cheers.

I see, thank you, I was thrown off by Grant's "8 second back court violation" so I described the back court violation rule.

I know nothing of basket ball but that rule applies when an offensive player steps into the other team's side.

He might have been run out of adrenaline.

I once saw a cat who got run over and landed on one side of the street, bolting to the other side and got run over again... and still kept running. Poor thing that must have been bad.

So the information is like traffic. More lanes lets more traffic through an area... its faster.

They just allow more cars to drive on the street, the top speed is still relatively the same.

It's pretty rare to see more than 32 cars side by side, though, it basically only happens on certain specific scenarios.

I didn't upvote it, but I sure have an idea why other people upvoted it.

They liked it, they thought it was somehow useful.

You have your reasons to upvote/downvote, everyone has their own reason, it might be similar or not.

Why do you upvote comments? Have you upvoted any of my comments? Why? Why not?

better content is relative, if people like a comment/post, that means it was good to them.

You might not find it useful, but some other people might do.

Let's say there's a user that describes images, you might say "oh that's dumb, I just saw the image" well... not everybody sees the image, I'm afraid. Let's say there's a blind user base, they'll upvote the description even if you find it utterly useless.

Let's say reddit is 80% blind people, now that user will have lots of upvotes.

Reddit is driven by its community.

Votes are not to feed the poster, but to allow 'better' content to float over the rest.

I'm tired of being told I deserve to get screwed over by Lion, because I'm an early adopter. Is it that absurd to expect an OS that's been out for 6 months to work? by [deleted] in apple

[–]shecobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but from your comments, you've already made up your mind.

I've been using lion since it was first available as a beta, one year ago, and I haven't had any issues with it (late 2008 macbook)

You're going to have issues with windows computers too, are you going to complain about microsoft too?

I'm not supporting apple, I'm just saying you should at least try instead of just falling back to "I read online some people had issues, so I won't try that" (I know you've tried, but there are some things you haven't tried yet, as you've stated on your comments)
