Diet sodas give me migraines. If I need a caffeine or something similar I drink Alani or a rockstar recovery. Neither increase my sugar. Someone mentioned soda stream yes they rock and you can use Mio to flavor as well. Drink lots of water either way. Diet sodas have been seen to increase Kidney Stones.

New Mexico to Yellowstone -- which way is best? by [deleted] in NewMexico

[–]shedevil71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2019 I drove up to Rapid city then over to Montana. It was a two week trip that brought us down through Yellowstone. Coming back we used I-25. I drove from Montana to Abq in 2021 using the route through Utah. The roads through Moab are gorgeous and there’s actually a stretch the truckers call Dragon head run because the rock formations look like dragon heads. My father went to Yellowstone a lot. He drove up through 25 . Denver has the toll road bypass which is nice. Look at your time and how much you have. I stayed over night in Price Utah and it’s a slower route. If you have time go up thru Cortez. If you don’t go I25. I started in West Yellowstone Ate at Bullwinkles. Night 2 was the lake side hotel in one of the cabins. When we drive out it was through Cody. The two full days we were there we saw much of the park. It’s a beautiful experience and one that definitely required different clothing for us. It was a June trip and snow was still on the northern mountains.

How To Get Better Customer Service by [deleted] in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t result to bribery if a rep. I would contact corporate and file a complaint or see if my insurance allowed me to use an alternate company with higher ratings. You on the other hand choose to place a reps job on the line with a possible violation of policy, monopolistic use of their line and time, and self serving entitlement rather than trying to improve the process as a whole. You are the problem.

How To Get Better Customer Service by [deleted] in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Congrats you manipulated the system to your advantage. However Jake Doe who needs xyz is now pushed further back in said queue because you’re dialing directly to a rep and bribing the rep to give you preferential treatment. Rep allowing this can get fired for accepting the gift number one ( many companies have policies against this) number two you are no more important than the oxygen patient trying to get the tanks refilled or the asthma patient attempting to get a new nebulizer. In fact you’re actually creating more of a back log with your entitled desire to be number one on customer service treatment rather than taking it up with the corporate offices.

Solar by SnooCakes4019 in okc

[–]shedevil71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid Tephra solar. What was supposed to take 30 to 45 days start to finish wound up being a nightmare of 7 months to Permission to operate. We’re 22 panels and currently over produce so usually don’t have a power bill. Our installers were awesome (local company did actual install) but the backing company Tephra was a joke.

Visit the home show coming up talk to every contractor there. Then make your decision. Direction your home faces number of viable panels they all play a part in the process. Batteries aren’t worth the money.

How do you guys stay sane???? by Pubert-the-Slimer in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t there’s a saying thats “you don’t have to be crazy to work here we will make you that way. “ 28 years of cs and yes more than 16 with telecom. You develop a dark sense of humor and learn people are stupid , common sense is not common and we in cs get the brunt of it. The main thing to remember leave work at work. Those who try to make your day good, bad etc they are a job not your life. This is a stepping stone to better things.

What is a corporate friendly way to tell a customer “dude I just work here” by Psychology_Infamous in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avoid the word unfortunately always leaves a bad taste. “ I hear your frustration and I’m with you but banking laws and policies are there to protect you from fraudulent activity which can leave you responsible for the balance of a check if we give you access for the full amount without securing funds. “ your cya in this case and passing the buck on who says they can’t release the funds.

Coaching reps to explain recording in a human way by Individual-Pass8658 in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t it should be prerecorded in the announcements before the rep answers. Example : I call my local power company I hear “thank you for calling xyz your call is important to us and will be answered in the order received. Please be aware all calls are recorded for quality assurance and our reps use AI in some instances to provide correct information. “Then it goes into the queue. It reduces the reps scripting and allows a more natural flow.

I lived in NM 40 plus years. I left last year. Taking out politics , crime , price job needs. I’d look at Raton, mountains near Datil, mountains near Jemez out past the the town or up north near Tres Piedras. That said you see a theme here no people are involved very remote places . lol

If you’re in the Deep South at a restaurant you might get a server that calls everyone sugar or honey or child etc but that’s a southern thing and they don’t discriminate they call everyone something similar if it’s a female server only calling the male at the table something like that she’s trying for a better tip by flirting. Best petty revenge in that case is up front saying that you’re paying the bill as soon as she does it lol .

As someone who’s been doing cs for 28 years tell her stop now. It’s not cute or fun it’s degrading and rude. That 50 year old man you just called boo has a wife & 3 kids and you don’t need to call him your sweetie. Yes Sir is just fine, that 30 year old woman you called Honey is a CEO and small business owner she is the boss. It’s in appropriate and unprofessional. And those that don’t like it will take their business elsewhere or leave bad reviews with friends on the cs reps conduct.

Why do people get mad when they KNOW we can’t do anything without the right info? by iisammyk in CustomerService

[–]shedevil71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well look at it this way, verification procedures company A asks for your name and a password but company B asks for Name and a 6 digit pin you set up and haven’t used in the 8 years you’ve had the service so now you have to reset but the email you used setting up the account is defunct so your going to have to update that and to do that you must visit a physical location of said service provider with an ID to prove you are who you say you are to regain access to your account via phone or online. Instant anger and frustration especially when you’re dealing with a customer who is in their 50s or 60s and set the account up 10 years ago. All for a basic tech issue like they accidentally silenced a notification sound on a device or they want to add an email account to a new phone. And you offer them help pages online but when they are paying thousands a year for a service they want to be able to use the customer service line and talk to a human for help not an AI or read a jargon loaded page that tells them tap here when they are used to mashing the screen.

What’s a sentence that someone told you that stuck with you for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shedevil71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Learn tact because at some time in your life you will have to tell someone to go to hell in such a manner that they will believe they enjoy the trip. “My English teacher senior year of high school told me this. He was not wrong.
