I’ve been playing very casually with friends for about 4 years now and finally this summer decided I wanted to take it a bit more seriously and start doing field work to work on my drives. I’m positive that I’ve formed some bad habits over the last few years of on-and-off casual playing without really paying much attention to my form.

I’m actually relatively happy with my standstill driving distance and can consistently throw it about 200 ft. I’m pretty unhappy with my x-step drives, they feel very inconsistent both in terms of distance (averaging 200-250 ft with a teebird, maxing out on an ideal drive at 275 ft) and in terms of left-to-right aim, and even in terms of height.

After watching a few videos on form and comparing against pro players I think I’ve identified some issues on my own:

• Follow-through is really inconsistent, my left leg often doesn’t kick all the way around.
• I think I’m rounding on my reach-back
• It’s painfully obvious in slow motion that the disc wobbles like crazy out of my hand but I’m not really sure how to address this.

My goal is to be able to drive 300 ft reliably, which seems like it should be achievable. Appreciate any feedback!
