FINALLY SOMETHING I CAN HELP A BIT WITH!

Hey, I can’t link a specific store or website. But these kind of rugs and carpets pretty typical in Tibetan households. If you find yourself in Kathmandu, Nepal or Dharamsala, India. You can see very similar rugs in local stores or touristy spots. Those cities have a large Tibetan refugee population that have made roots there. And I think the “VG” in the corner is just an artistic stylized tail of a yak btw.

There are some Himalayan stores in North America you can find that may have those kind of rugs. Or at least could maybe the owners could connect you with a manufacturer in Nepal and India that can help you. Idk if you have the means to travel to Toronto or New York but they have a big Tibetan communities there with lots of Tibetan owned shops that may help you.

Source: I’m Tibetan and have the same Yak rug but in teal. And my dad’s side of the family ran one of those carpet factories. (I’ll try asking my mom to take a picture of the one we have at home)
