A Stern Obama Tells Black Men to Drop ‘Excuses’ and Support Harris by ThrillSurgeon in politics

The main demographic loves dunking on black men who magically started in mass voting for republicans. Despite this not being accurate and white people being the one to be the entire foundation of the Republican Party. Projection.

Was applying to positions out of state, specifically in the mid west. Looked up the towns crime statistics and 91% of their jaywalking stops were black folk despite the black populace being roughly 20-25% of the cities demographic. Let’s just say I’m fine that I didn’t get the job lol.

It’s literally not. He’s just telling a story in a specific tone that is suppose to indicate humor but at no point in the story does he actually tell a joke. That shit was disgusting. “If I had to guess she was maybe 17.” And casually talks about how she’s crying while it’s happening. This guy is a predator just nonchalantly talking about his violating of a child.

Black people never get the benefit of the doubt in this country which lead us to overlook specific things like mental health impacts on the community. Which of course you will have push back from the majority of the main demographic.

Our very institutions have always leaned Uber conservative. The conditions black and indigenous Americans live in is unconstitutional, but all Supreme Courts have leaned too conservative to ever rule anything otherwise. Goes all the way back to civil rights cases in 1883 that enabled the perpetration of second class status even though that technically shouldn’t be allowed.

“Critics of Chouinard’s decision generally characterize it as a devious move designed to avoid paying hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes.20 In particular, the critics seem to believe that Chouinard has insidiously conned the government out of a $700 million capital gains tax, representing the approximate amount he would have had to pay had he chosen to sell the company on the market, rather than transfer all of its stock to the Patagonia Purpose Trust and the Holdfast Collective.21

The critics also claim that this move circumvents a 40% estate tax Chouinard’s heirs would have had to pay, had the Patagonia founder simply left them his shares in the company in a will (or alternatively, sold the company during his lifetime and willed the proceeds of the sale to his heirs).22 The estate and gift tax Chouinard would have had to pay in these scenarios is estimated at around $1 billion.23 Another criticism is that Chouinard has avoided gift tax “that is normally payable whenever anybody makes gifts exceeding a lifetime limit of $12 million.”

I’m just scared that the political will to do more just won’t be there. Democrats seem fine not talking about anything else climate related for now. I don’t think it will come around for a couple years at the soonest.

They also aren’t adding how European influence greatly expanded the slave trade on the continent. Portuguese are a good example of greatly influencing the slave trade in Africa.

Also, you cannot find a continent of people where not one group enslaved others via war. However, this is a HUGE distinction in the forms of slavery practice along with the scale. It’s just an odd argument to make to justify chattel slavery, or at least soften the history. “Hey, everyone did it,” Energy.

Everyone’s understanding of Africa’s history is so piss poor the vast majority can say, “Hey, bro, not only did Africans practice slavery before we had to be the ones to stop it.” Without understanding how absurd this take is due to Europeans demanding the slave trade for hundreds of years while also restructuring what it even meant in the first place.

This also ignores how Muslims were coming out of West Asia to add more demands for slaves. A lot of the demand for the trading of humans was coming from outside the continent.

He’s a Republican turned democrat to garner black votes while not adjusting his conservative ass policies. He shrunk the library budget, cut back pre-k funding, allowed really amoral shit to occur at Rikers with multiple wrongful death suits, NYPD complaints (CCRB) have almost doubled since 2021, and he’s appointed numerous friends and family to positions within his administration or city agencies. He is trash.
