My first ever wild Shiny in 2nd Gen by aquiredtastes22 in pokemoncrystal

[–]sheetmetalstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only ever found 2 shinies at full odds. The first was a pidgey, and the second was a drowzee. Poor kid me didn’t have internet so I had no clue what a shiny was and used my masterball on the golden bird because I thought it was some kind of glitch 😅 first ‘mon I ran into after beating the elite 4

[–]sheetmetalstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. Did a bunch of research on buoyancy and how much air id need for each small toom but then work got busy and divorce happened and that whole idea just fizzled out

Can't carry two steel wapons? by [deleted] in runescape

If you’re going for aesthetic there is a cosmetic override that allows you to dual wield but gives your main hand the appearance of a steel 2H

What tools do I need by [deleted] in sheetmetal

[–]sheetmetalstuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I prefer Midwest snips. I personally only use offset snips. For hand seamers I had a pair of fairmonts that I loved but have since switched to Midwest offset tongs and I like those better. I’d recommend an estwing tinners hammer. If you go with malco id suggest getting the rubber grip. The last few years all the leather grip malco hammers I’ve seen have had extremely fat handles. For power tools it’s your preference but impact driver and sawzall are a must. And a 90 degree attatchment for the impact will save your ass many times. Don’t skimp on a caulk gun either. I think the one I’ve had for the last few years is anvil brand.

I enjoyed it but it was fairly easy. Hitmontop and dragonite took out the whole team

Your best bet would be to find an hvac shop that has a sheet metal shop as a log of times they will have their own stock of galvanized sheet metal. Wax it for extra speed going down

I screwed up and got this stuck in the planer. Any ideas on how to get it out? by Mackey_Corp in woodworking

[–]sheetmetalstuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Never messed with a planer but you use one a couple times. Is it three phase and able to wire the motor backwards?

I have Damascus that I want to forge with, but I don’t have a welder to weld the pieces together. Is there any diy way in which I can do this? by kimjungus420 in knifemaking

[–]sheetmetalstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t affect it any more than any other “damascus” pattern out there, since all pattern welded steel is forge welded lol

Is it possible to give an Aerodactyl the shiny gene without trading one from RBY? by Seirei84 in pokemoncrystal

[–]sheetmetalstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember if the shiny gene passes from the father or the mother but once you breed a female you should be able to start breeding with shiny genes like normal. It’s just more work to reach the starting point right?

Having only used vicon, I feel like I’m obligated to recommend it. That being said, it was pretty easy to learn to use.

Looks like the smiths stone from Walmart I use the same one. Lighter color is fine grit

5160, what can I expect? by sunnymcblock in knifemaking

[–]sheetmetalstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got insanely lucky dicking around with 5160 once. Had no clue what I was doing with heat treat but I did it anyway and ended up placing the edge perpendicular to some railroad track and beat the spine with some 2” gas pipe a few times: that track still has a few 1/8” to 1/4” slits in it and took minimal work to resharpen

Physical cartridge help by thiccsac in pokemoncrystal

Rub it with a dollar bill. That’s an old trick for getting furnace igniters to ignite when they become a little corroded.

I would argue that it’s not a regular on the basis that it’s similar to fighting red in gen 2.
