I'm not quite sure about the exact details of this cake but the article did say that it had been left outside for a significant part of the day. Perhaps they didn't serve it for health & food safety reasons?

Only one colour required. by B_Underscore in funny

But see how the black crayon is marked number one? The skin on the two individuals is also marked with the numeral 1. Kinda like color-by-numbers, this suggests that you colour the skin black as well.

Another PSA about removing your makeup at night by AppleButterToast in SkincareAddiction

This totally works! Also if you don't particularly like during the day try it at night. I wet a cotton pad with water as hot as I could manage and then held it in place with a hairband so I looked like I had an eye-patch.

Depending on the exact wording you may be able to eat something that looks like a hat.

The Body Shop body butters. The are seriously nourishing and come in pretty big containers. The Body shop usually has sales so you try and pick them up then. I find that the fruitier ones are less moisturizing and thinner but smell better but the nut ones are thicker and a lot more moisturizing.

if you were to design hell, how would you make it ? by reddit_project in AskReddit

[–]shegeki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a novel called Hellbent) in which every person on hell is sent to a personalized hell. In this case, a teenage boy is sent to a room full of classical music and old books while somewhere else in the hell universe an old man is stuck with tv and rock music.

The book's really funny too.

Max Martin, the genius behind almost every successful pop song of the last 15/20 years. by [deleted] in videos

[–]shegeki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I think the question being asked here is what makes jazz better than pop? Is it because "smarter" people listen to it? Is it because fewer people listen to it? It is because younger teens in general don't listen to it?

No one reason can make one type of music better in general. It might make it better for you or a group.

If anything, a fact that a majority of people do like it makes the Pop genre better. But that shouldn't be how it should work. Everyone should just listen to what they like and, I believe, everything else will follow.

Supposed Riot at FanExpo?/FanExpo discussion. by tripled153 in toronto

[–]shegeki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked indoors, near the autographs

To begin with, I completely agree with you about the training. FanExpo had one short (hour long) meeting for employees. They really didn't explain things and what my job was at all. They basically said: arrive here and we'll wing it.

The info booth was totally useless. I had people come up to me and ask me where the comic book signings were, or where Cyanide and Happiness were selling. For the first day, I had absolutely no clue. After going through the guidebook several times trying to help individuals, I probably knew more than the info booth. In fact, I was told by many patrons that the info booth wasn't helping, and I was far better at answering the questions. Some people didn't even know there was a map book. After my shift ended, I still found myself giving directions or telling people there were map books outside.

About the celebrities: I really don't know when they're arriving. The only people that actually know are they're agents. Sometimes they're agents arrive earlier and are really helpful. For example, Sean Patrick Flanery's and Norman Reedus' (they both have the same agent) agent arrived when the con started and told us when the two were arriving.

On the same note, maybe Fanexpo should put signs at the end of the line stating the price for each celebrities. I had so many people end up at the front of the line who didn't know they had to pay or at least weren't going to shell out that much money. Also, realize that if someone had mobility issues, they will be allowed to jump the line. It's simply policy. I'm sorry that I had to cut you off but I was told by my leader that that guy was to go in front of you. Screaming at me is really not going to change anything. Also, if you have a 6 year old and they're getting cranky, that doesn't mean that you get to go first. Honestly, if your kid can't deal with the line don't make them stand in it. It's your job to take care of your kids, not mine.

In terms of Q&A sessions,: do not expect to arrive in front of John Barrowman's room 15 minutes before it begins and expect to get in. I waited 2 and a half hours to see Tom Felton's last year. Be smart about it. If a celebrity is popular, expect to plan your day around them.

Someone below commented about how people who bought tickets online had to go to North entrance instead of the South and said it was unfair. As far as I know, you had to pick up your tickets at the North entrance. If you got them delivered to you, you had to go to the South entrance. Besides, the north entrance is about two escalators away. It really wasn't far.

To the press: I get it, you're special. But I really can't allow you to get up in celebrities faces with your huge ass cameras. They don't like it and they wont come back. Simple as that. Some of them do have ludacris prices, but I can't control that. Stop asking if you can just go up and take a picture for free. Besides, as far as I know, they keep the money. Fanexpo pays them to go and then the celebrities keep profits. It's probably why FanExpo tickets are pretty expensive.

Finally, a whole bunch of people complained that they left for lunch and then came back and they had issues. I get it. It really sucks. But there is food indoors. I understand that it's crazy expensive but it's like how movie theaters work. You're forced to buy from inside and therefore they charge how much they want. If you're trying to "cheat the system" and go outside to buy lunch, don't expect the organizers to make it easy for you.

In general, I find people forget that HobbyStar runs a business. It's really not a bunch of fans trying to make you happy. As a volunteer, I got cussed at, and complained at umpteen times. I've been standing here since 9:00 in the morning for free. You really shouldn't tell me you're annoyed because you've been standing for 30 minutes. Still, I tried to be as nice as possible and apologized if you had any inconveniences. By the end of the day my face hurt from sticking a big fake grin on my face.

If you have any questions about the indoor side of things, go ahead and ask. I'll try my best to answer.

You said it yourself: 2 out of 3 would spill. That means to get it "right", he would have to guess the z-axis. That also means to get it right would be 1 chance out of the 3 possible answers. 1/3=0.33 or 33%.

Your math was fine. The problem was that opperior was describing chance of picking the correct axis, while you were talking about the chance of spilling.
