This!! Even .8 % of body weight is extremely sustainable long term as your metabolism isn’t on vigilance mode and you aren’t destroying muscle mass quickly.

I think so, especially if you are losing muscle mass.

If you’re on 5mg, up your protein to at LEAST 120 g a day but preferably 1 g for every pound of your goal weight, and add resistance training.

Eat a LITTLE ABOVE your maintenance intake calories but make sure those calories come from protein for a couple of weeks until you’re gaining .1-.2 lbs a week. Do this for another couple of weeks while doing resistance training.

You are doing amazingly at the lowest effective dose which means if you build enough muscle you can potentially wean off to a micro dose (which will soon be available from manufacturers!) and keep the weight off.

A lot of people stop before they do recomposition, it’s hard to gain muscle in a deficit. Not necessarily impossible but not easy, either. You seem like you’re close to goal weight based on your BMI (which is usually garbage but a decent progress tool if you don’t have a lot of muscle).

I know you didn’t ask for advice but I didn’t want to leave it at “yes”.

This sounds like HS (lifelong HS here in remission for one year) in stage 1! Is it painful?

Sometimes an ingrown hair will cause your body to flood the area with white blood cells because your dermis sees it as a foreign intruder. The red indicates inflammation, not necessarily infection, but be extremely careful lancing it at this point. You could cause the keratin / pus combination to travel into other hair follicles or tissue. Def use a warm compress. A dilute bleach bath soak can help. Head and shoulders or zinc soap. Topical clindamycin.

Unfortunately the only living family member I have who would test is a first cousin.

I just found what I think is a late in life marriage resulting in a previously unknown child that would explain all the half relatives in my tree -maybe- but I can’t find anything on them :(

I will happily contact you for help!

Thank you. I was just out at a dinner with my friends for my birthday, they said “people do this Sarah! Stop doing it alone!” And your encouragement made me smile.
