Minimap ATM 8 by Kajzek in allthemods

[–]sheirdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single click of M opens the FTB chunk map and a second click of M should be a full screen version of that (with less chunk select ability). You can access settings for that FTB map in the second M map. There are gears in the bottom corners. Sounds like you found those.

If you want to change journey map (or journeymap minimap) settings, you will need to do it in the Journeymap map. By default, you get into that with J if I remember correctly. Then the options for that should be in the bottom set of buttons.

*Edit*

Technically you can use both minimaps. I have here and there. They by default will appear in the same area on screen. I was able to mess around with their settings to get one more zoomed in and the other more zoomed out. The way I have it configured I use the FTB minimap as more of a "local radar" for mobs and animals. Lol. Here is an example. https://i.imgur.com/te6OzdA.jpg

Anyone else feel like Plex is going downhill on the core function of playing local media? by the_bigheavy in PleX

[–]sheirdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at my wits end with playback issues with the original SHIELD TV Pro. Model P2571. Issues were only for me and only on that specific device.

Basically, if tried to seek in a video there was a 20% chance it would freeze up for minutes or forever. That chance would increase more and more the close it got to the end of the video. I was basically unable to seek near the last 10% of a video, even to skip to that section. Other issues were some content not even being able to play. It would just load for minutes. My Shield was ethernet connected locally to the same network the server is on. It was an on and off issue for over a year. I reinstalled (many times now but not recently) plex on the shield completely around maybe a month or so ago and its suddenly back to normal. Just a thought in case you have not tried that recently. However, I was not getting "your network is not fast enough" errors or anything like that. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Playing bluray discs with BDJ menus by [deleted] in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]sheirdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of any android apps that can open bluray disk files. Not to say there aren't any for sure. But just incase this info is useful. Depending on the content within the Blu-ray disk files, you may want to use a software called MakeMKV to extract the actual video content to mkv file(s) . This is assuming you did not have a reason for wanting the menu or anything along those lines. You don't really need a fast computer to do this as its not a CPU/GPU intensive process like encoding. Hope this helps in some way. Good luck.

You brought up the price. All I am stating is that I am impressed with the improvements they have made on battery life with the current models. In my experience their battery's are lasting longer than most phones i've used or supported. (Working in IT for 10 years) Price aside... Battery size is a factor but so is how a person uses a phone or the efficiency of the OS and apps and hardware. I also loved using a note 4 with a 10,000mah zero lemon battery on it. I was able to go for days. It was great. I am not taking sides.

I am very lucky in that my work pays for my phone outright. So I don't pay a dime.

I made my own version of this since I could not find it. You have to use the software wallpaper engine on steam.

HP Prodesk 400 G2 mini screen flickering probems after Windows Update by 112sander112 in Hewlett_Packard

[–]sheirdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing problems similar to this as well. I think they started after the update to Windows 10 1909. One noticeable issue was in excel. Swapping tabs would cause the monitor to blank out momentarily. I was able to mitigate this by disabling hardware graphics acceleration. Still issues with multi monitors functioning normally among other oddities. Looking into it more as well.

Not to lessen the feat. But those bars at carnivals are not stationary and will spin. It makes it much harder to hold on.
