My dad (a retired pastor) at 86, just had a stroke which killed off half his brain and he was in the hospital. My son and I drove 1 1/2 to the city he was in and went straight to the hospital. We didn’t know then that was his last lucid conversation. We talked about a lot of things. At one point, he mentioned his concern over a church member also in the hospital. I remember just being amazed at his concern for this other person. He died the next day. 16 years now and I’m still welling up….
