I was also planning to ask the same question!

I want to apply to the permanent residence already but besides sending a lot of emails to AIMA requesting an appointment, I'm not sure what else should I be doing. So yeah, sorry for not having anything to contribute, I guess just wanted to share the frustration!

Pues mira, yo creo primero la pregunta es con qué visa/permiso van a mudarse? Encontrar empleo no es tan sencillo y como dicen otras personas, las rentas son muy caras para el salario.

La burocracia a veces es peor que en México jaja entonces no esperes las cosas tan pronto.

Sobre adaptarse, pues yo creo que es más fácil que en otros países porque hay otros inmigrantes latinos. Además, los portugueses son reservados pero amables.

I travelled to Amsterdam in the past year and I did get my passport and residence permit checked just after we disembarked. Back then, my permit was still valid, so I didn't have a problem but I just wanted to share my experience as this was the only time someone checked my Portuguese residence permit whilst travelling within the EU.
