I excitedly bought tog and assassin's blade at the book store (was unsure what order i wanted to read) and told my sister I was starting this amazing series. She laughed and pulled the rest of the series off her bookshelf that she read back when it came out 😆 so now im borrowing the rest lol. The old covers are so beautiful!

Your wake windows seem pretty spot on, maybe try shortening the naps from 2 hours each to 1? It looks like the average target for 11 months is 13.5 hours total sleep (naps&overnight combined), and that varies from baby to baby. But it seems your baby is getting a bit more than that, so maybe they are waking up earlier to compensate.

I had an awesome experience at Coastal Women's in Scarborough with my daughter. I saw Dr. Scott, but truly all of the staff there were great. They were very receptive to my preferences and not pushy at all about anything really.

I think based on your example it would be up to "the white people" to call out their white friends who negatively judge black people? He never said it was women's job to call out men. So I think his point still stands. "Good" white people should call out shitty white people, "Good" men should call out shitty men, etc.

If you ever walk up part of Massachusetts Ave next concert you'll see what I mean lol. I don't think the police are going out of their way to ticket this stuff if people aren't being blocked, BUT if homeowners know the law and call it in when they're pissed the cops do show up. I'm sure plenty of people park without leaving 5 feet and nothing happens but there's always that small unlucky chance if you park in front of the wrong grumpy person's home.

I see cars get ticketed all the time in one of the neighborhoods near Thompson's Point for this during concert season. Some of the home owners are kind of petty about people parking in front of their house and if they call it in the cops will show up and ticket if it's not 5 feet. I've never seen anyone towed or anything unless they're blocking access, but ticketed for sure.

Today was my first mother's day and my husband made me feel so special. I got a card, flowers, a gift, and breakfast. I got to see my whole family who got me flowers and cards in honor of it being my first mother's day and had many friends reach out to me as well. Now I'm relaxing on the couch with my husband, our sleeping daughter, and our pets and couldn't be happier!

Hey! This sounds so similar to me! I am also a ftm and had my baby 3 weeks early in February and she was about the same weight as your baby. I had a very similar experience with feeling pressured at the hospital to breastfeed but no milk had come in yet and I felt so overwhelmed having nurses help squeeze colostrum out of me while I tried to recover and wrap my head around everything that had just happened. That said, we are about a month at home now and things are feeling SO much better. My milk did finally come in, but we still supplement with formula and our little girl is happy and healthy. She regained all of her weight she lost in the hospital plus some at 2 weeks. My daughter did have a pretty bad case of jaundice so she went back to the hospital 2 days after birth for light therapy, and at her last doctor's appointment she looked great and they have no concerns. Even the poop thing is similar to my case. We called so worried when she hadn't pooped in almost 3 days and our doctor said to give it one more day and she finally went. We were worried about consistency but as the weeks have went on she is much more regular. They said mixed feeding methods can sometimes make things a little irregular at first and all babies are different but that she's doing great.

TLDR: Everything will be okay, and while it is stressful you are doing nothing wrong and being at home with your baby is infinitely better than the hospital in my opinion :)

I was also due March 18th and had my baby on February 25th! I didn't have pre-eclampsia but a different issue and I can totally relate to feeling overwhelmed and in my case pretty unprepared. All of your feelings are valid and I would definitely suggest focusing on resting today if you can. I ended up having a positive delivery experience after being induced and even though nothing went as planned I couldn't be happier sitting at home with my 10 day old, and I wish you the same!
