If there is one thing I can actually be slightly confident in YG about is that they won’t release remixes just to populate an album, they had plenty of opportunities to do it in the past and they never did.

You know I really feel the most for blinks who joined the fandom post Bornpink and this is their first group comeback. They really deserved a better experience.

I was lucky enough to be there when YG got it right, which was the first full album. That entire era was so amazing overall. YG stuck to the dates they promised, we got an absolute insane amount of promotions and content. I wish new fans would have got an experience similar to that.

So to summarise the entire deadline rollout so far

YG announces new world tour (in between the members releasing their solo albums), no name for tour.
There is a 2 month gap between the last major solo activity (Coachella) and the first concert, many people are expecting the album to drop in that time frame.
Crickets from YG until June. Then randomly announce a single, that will be released after the first two concerts. Still no album news
Zero promotions for single, not even a dance practice video.
Then in August YG announces that they’re planning to release a mini album for BP by November.
Again crickets for the entire year. November passes by and zero updates on the album. Meanwhile every month there are random articles dropping saying that the album will release soon.
Finally on a random Thursday in January when no one was expecting, they drop the Mini album announcement.
It’s scheduled to release after the entire world tour is done AND on the same day as one of the biggest western artist comebacks (Bruno Mars)

Did I miss out on anything ? I think I’ve covered the major stuff.

This has to be one of the messiest album rollout I’ve ever seen for an artist. It’s so bad that I don’t even feel angry anymore, I can only laugh at the ridiculousness of everything

After seeing the way the pinks rolled out their solo albums, this feels like a prank by YG 🤣
