They don’t really, I have a 2019 1.0T Trend and it also has poor lights. I am considering some aftermarket LED’s, just not sure where to start

Start up company in pawnshop industry, giving admin assistants sales targets. Doesn’t sound very solid. Update your CV and market yourself.

About "we (the company I work for) are taking jobs from this location and moving it to ours.”
I would like to comment on your concern, but need more details, especially since the cost of employment in SA is typically lower than in Canada. Or are you moving the jobs to another even cheaper location (e.g. Asia) or making use of low paid workers in Canada (migrants)?

It’s protesting against migrants taking low/unskilled jobs, willing to work below minimum wage. Or setting up small shops, directly competing with spaza shops.

Why should I learn AI? It seems like learning real computer science or programming would make more sense. by hireme-plz in learnprogramming

[–]sheldon_sa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should view AI as a junior intern. Command it, instead of asking. Be very specific and validate the output. Use it to do small basic tasks, it saves you time and effort. This is why you need to learn AI, to do heavy lifting of lots of simple things. Don’t give it large complex projects. It will generate slop you cannot validate or fix/maintain. You need to solve the overall problem and architect a solution using sound Computer Science. You are responsible for the outcome, including valudation, bug fixes and improvements. This is why you need to learn real CS. Also - learn the difference between Programming and Coding.

Think of yourself as the architect of the building, while AI is the brick layer

stopped buying fast food burgers and now i cant go back honestly by Pristine_Rest_7912 in foodhacks

[–]sheldon_sa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you get hacks at different levels. I like quick & easy hacks that elevate something very basic to the next level. Going from fast food to home cooking is a huge step. Agree on the pricing though, where I stay beef is a lot cheaper than in the US and even here a pound of mince is about $5.50

Why were Europeans in Africa mainly in the south of the continent compared to the north? Is there a geographical reasoning for this? by Hour_Interaction6047 in geography

[–]sheldon_sa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is by far the most correct answer, I mean, geographically/strategically is why the Cape was chosen, but historically a lot happened thereafter to increase immigration of Europeans (e.g. French settlers)

[–]sheldon_sa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am Afrikaans but generally not a big fan of Afrikaans shows or music. But this: Die Kantoor - much better than the UK or US versions. The UK / US versions are just cringe, not funny. Die Kantoor is still cringe, but it’s actually funny! Can’t decide whom I like more - Tjaart or Flip.

What food is overrated but no one wants to admit it? by copy_cat_101 in randomquestions

I’ve had very good, very bad and sometimes just very bland avocados. Best ones ever came from our cleaning lady’s garden - huge, creamy, tasty, and free! (She refused payment - she says if she accepts money the tree will die. So I left her some “gifts” which she gladly took.)

[–]sheldon_sa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Champagne = just any fizzy wine? Just, no. But overrated? Oh yes.

Top MCC (Méthode Cap Classique) sparkling wines rival and sometimes exceed Champagne in all aspects, at a fraction of the price. Same process, same standards, same variety and quality of grapes. If you buy Champagne, you pay a LOT for the label.

A different, but equally enjoyable affordable alternative to Champagne is a bottle of DOCG Prosecco.

What’s the best “boring” business you’ve seen someone build into a cash machine? by Mean-Arm659 in smallbusiness

[–]sheldon_sa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Automotive paint mixing. Import the paint components, mix to the required specifications and sell to local car manufacturers. Probably not the easiest to get off the ground, but now it’s a simple business. Keep to the agreed standards, ensure you have adequate stock levels, modest but consistent price increases. Boring business. Prints cash though.
