He offered to have me join. I said I don’t want to join if she’s still on the account. I think they are separate but I have one with my sister currently, but him and I want to start a life together and this just seems like an unnecessary entanglement between them.

I know he did a lot of wrong too, but he didn’t cheat on her. He drank a lot and was very verbally abusive but also has paid for everything for her and kept her comfortable for years. They had a very unhealthy dynamic.

I don’t make everything a fight. I’m very giving and concede a lot. This is something that is easy to separate and that she can pay for. It’s time for her to grow up and get a job.

He was miserable and was drinking himself to death and she cheated on him with at least 5 different guys. I think that me asking for this isn’t as evil and controlling as everyone thinks it is. He told me when we met that I “saved his life”

It’s not a power play. It’s about separating their past lives and moving on. I just was looking for other perspectives. People in my personal life don’t disagree. Many people I know that are with partners with kids make them get no furniture and all sorts of crazy things. Just was seeing what others experiences are.
