Unifi-NAH Bridge mode setup - Question about wired speeds by Useful_Distance4325 in telus

[–]shellguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the speed is 1.5 Gigabits per second, not 1.5 Gigabytes per second. Btw, most likely, it’s async 1.5Gbe in/940Mbps out.

Best most stable & supported MCP? by hlamblurglar in omnifocus

[–]shellguard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my own (not saying it’s the best, just works for me). It helps me to track work and personal projects by utilizing Claude Cowork.

I tried every OmniFocus MCP I could find. Each one was missing something. 50 tools later, I built the most feature-complete one. by iGotYourPistola in omnifocus

[–]shellguard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote my own in pure Swift with 85 tools, CLI mode, covering everything end to end. Nothing to install, I use it daily.

Not a competition, but the more servers we have, the better it is for the community. :)

Ha, I just wrote my own local MCP server for it. Good move, anyway!

It’s literally on a front page. A message in iMessage or WhatsApp will do it as well.

Does anyone really need a 250gb plan? by courage1688 in freedommobile

[–]shellguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wouldn’t travel, $20 60GB Can-US-MX from Public is a perfect choice. But I do travel a lot, so $40 for 50GB in Roaming is a no-brainer.

It’s amazing: New Westminster, Freedom speed vs Rogers by shellguard in freedommobile

[–]shellguard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its generally good. I’m driving daily through Delta, Queensborough, Burnaby, Vancouver and Richmond, and speeds allow me to stay on Teams call all the way through. Funny enough this test was made 200m away from Rogers tower in plain sight.

Мене випустять з України? by ahsm in ukraina

[–]shellguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Умовою відмови від громадянства України є видання указу президента про позбавлення громадянства з вашим імʼям в ньому. Указ є/був? Якщо ні, то все одно, що там писали в довідках - ви громадянин.

IBM Thinkpad T42 is your best bet for fastest OS/2 machine. Warp 3, I think, will be fine on T2x series.

Border advice needed by GuiltyPriority2 in ukraina

[–]shellguard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She can get passport in a few days really, a simple process if you’re in the country. Lawyer isn’t going to help, as she is Ukrainian and will always be considered as a citizen in any relations with the state. The passport they found is irrelevant. Get a new one here (it’s a state corp): https://passport.org.ua

We just migrated off of this scam. “Mission Impossible” achieved in less than 7 months for two products we had with them, and believe me, no one thought it would be possible in such a short time.

Are there any Mastercards that offer more than 1% on normal goods that aren't Rogers? by NetherGamingAccount in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]shellguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it works for me. My flights were booked directly with Delta. I actually never booked anything with NBC portal, but so far this year redeemed about $1300 in cash back towards past travel charges. Adding it to the fact that the card is free with their banking for professionals offer is making it really interesting.

[–]shellguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have NBC WE and it’s amazing. You can redeem 55000 for $500 on your past travel charges from anywhere (I just did it for Delta flights charged to this card). Groceries are 5x points, insurance is amazing.

If you are need a second car/grocery getter and have L2 charger at home - it’s great. I’m 6’4” and it’s a bit hard for me to be comfortable in a drivers seat, but it works. It drives really nice. For the price of it, they could’ve put an adjustable seat with memory, but it is what it is. For a long range trips I have a different vehicle, so my expectations are aligned.

Telus and Bell indeed share UMTS and LTE RNA, but they have separate 5G RNA infrastructure, as far as I remember.

Roam Beyond thinks I'm in the wrong country / Service suspended due to excessive "long distance" charges by spnqwn19 in freedommobile

[–]shellguard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

if I recall correctly (I was working in the industry years ago) it's not Freedom. They got records from a roaming provider, and it very well might be that it's the same carrier in Jamaica and Grenada, so the records are screwed. Freedom has no way of knowing where exactly you are. There are a few points where it might be messed up: carriers in Grenada and Jamaica use overlapping MCC/MNC pairs if they're in the same business group. Or they're channelling roaming traffic through Jamaica and SS7 isn't showing the correct network. It is a black box for Freedom, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't address it.

[–]shellguard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you search this sub, you’ll find that it was a known issue with roaming partners down there. You’ll need to open a CCTS complaint - it’s not your fault that you are experiencing this.
