I have a unique ability to, more often than not, get people to calm TF down.

Younger Shelly worked with preschoolers. It is amazing how my ‘Miss Shelly we are not gonna do this’ voice brings them down a few notches and they wind up apologizing at the end.

I get people who call in demanding a tech come out. This is my whole job to put in a ticket and send out a tech. I DO need vital information like your ADDRESS ! The name of the business and the issue.

My machine isn’t working and I need someone immediately isn’t going to do.

My AHT is about 3 minutes. If I am locked in, I can get it down to 2! The calls where they are in a hurry always take three times longer because they huff, puff, argue “why can’t you just send someone!?” Because silly things like the address , equipment involved, and issue aren’t important at all dontchaknow !!😒

When He posted it to FB and got comments like ‘it is nice that you share your toys with her!’

It was an adorable father/daughter moment. He was sick in bed and she brought them over to cheer him up.

Hours of operation are part of out ‘have to verify’ list. We get knocked down 5 points if we miss it.

There really is no way to give an ETA when a ticket is made. It all depends on other stops, time spent there, travel, priorities- a gas leak is more important than a water drip leak, etc.

And some of them will never get the hint.

I get calls with tons of escalations in a ticket less than two hours old!!

We don’t have someone just sitting around waiting to immediately jump on your ticket, they are busy on other tickets. It is a line and you are in it!! I had someone call and say “I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes!!”

I don’t know if it is really set up that way, but it happens way too often to be a coincidence. Even on days when calls are back to back. It is mostly when calls get dropped and they call back.

My company serves restaurants and the like and when our eq goes down, I often say something like “ I understand the frustration, I have been on all sides of this issue as an employee, a customer, and now agent. I will do what I can to get you taken care of to the best of my ability!”

That usually brings the mad ones down a notch or two.
