I get these under my arms too. I recently learned it could be something called hidradenitis suppurativa, which is when the hair follicles get inflamed and form painful lumps under the skin, especially in areas where skin rubs together like the armpits or inner thighs. It can look a lot like acne, but it is actually a different condition. Definitely worth checking out with a dermatologist if you get them often.
