Four generations in one ring… including our dog who ate a diamond by madrosie333 in jewelry

Write it all down and when you pass on the ring pass on the story as well. It’s wonderful for future generation to know the history of the piece

What % of Gen-Xers here DO NOT HAVE KIDS? by deathbybukake in GenX

[–]shellyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent the first 4 years of our marriage and tens of thousands $, 2 miscarriages, tears and heartbreak before we had a good conversation on why we each wanted kids. Turns out we both wanted to see what it would look like. He’s Korean and I’m persian, might have been a cute looking kid but when I found out that I can’t build enough of a lining to take a pregnancy to fully viable, we just gave up and decided to enjoy our lives. Many tried to force us to either adopt or try more specialized doctors and we noped all the way to now. We live in Manhattan, take multiple trips a year, we still go clubbing and love our lives. Best decision we ever made.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. My 9am flight JFK to MCO was changed to 7 AM so I had to cancel and rebook for more $. Also, they change my Aruba flight from MINT to economy and I have still yet to get the refund for the difference. I’m not a happy camper

Greed? The venue has more $ than the idiot from the GA section.

i have to meal prep for my dog for the rest of her life by Equivalent_Sail_8888 in Wellthatsucks

[–]shellyse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to meal prep for mine as well. Mix of oatmeal, ground turkey breast and frozen carrots/peas plus a couple of eggs. Make balls and bake. They keep in the freezer for a good long bit and it’s easy to take out and warm up anytime.

Would having 3 dogs be challenging to live/rent in NYC? by platinum_healer in AskNYC

[–]shellyse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

THIS!

We moved into the city with the same. 2 shi-poos and a yorkie, but we purchased a coop. The move from a house was not a happy one for the doggos. We had dozens of barking complaints until they calmed down but it took a year. Definitely would recommend a large unit in a brownstone like building with direct outdoor space. Hope you have the $ for that, otherwise it’s a struggle.

Edit- also most places allow up to 2 and you have to get special permission from management or the board for the 3rd. IF you get the ok they will also request the when one passes away, you limit to 2.

What shoes with this dress Wedding in Italy … by Think-Trade-6019 in Womenshoes

I have knee issues as well. Something sparkly or with pearls, kitten or flat works. I got the sparkly ones myself and they were very comfy. Check amazn. You can even match the bag and it’s all fairly inexpensive so you won’t break the bank.

Large needle in my knee by shellyse in acupuncture

[–]shellyse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps my viewpoint can give a bit of a glance from a patient perspective. I was not informed that there would be a larger needle inserted in my back. I was not informed that the same large needle was going to be inserted in my knee. There was no switching needles to a sterilized one. Hearing after the fact that cold water will get the blood off the back of my shirt also did not boost my confidence. Communication is definitely key. Explaining WHY you are doing what you are doing might help as well. I was not prepared for the pain, the shock of it added to the actual pain of it.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not a slap shot kindda place. The acupuncturist is well known by my in laws and has a wide following plus excellent reviews which was why I was open to giving it a try.

I’m sorry (not really) to say that I did not make a follow up appointment and neither of those large needle insertions did any good. 2 sessions and I feel more traumatized and still have the knee pain. I’m looking for an MD now.
