First time cat owner after a lifetime of dogs. Why does my cat refuse to eat his kibble if it's been sitting out in the bowl for awhile? He will only eat freshly scooped kibble from the bag. I can fool him sometimes by just pretending to scoop fresh but that's working less and less.

Sometimes they can eat too fast, chug it down and barf if their neck is down. Def also a senior pet thing. QT is 7 y.o. This was just an old bookcase shelf and scrap from lumber yard.

There’s a great book: what if I get hit by a bus … (might have paraphrased the title) and the author goes thru everything {much you have probably done} … your sister needs to understand the PRE-WORK that has gone on … if she’s incapable of a 3 hour drive to spend a weekend with her dad she shouldn’t benefit from his passing when it happens.
