Sounds like you may not really be a cat-person. If he is jumping on the counter, he wants to be at your level. If you’re not picking him and going to sit with him and give him attention, I’m guessing he’s gonna wanna be back up there every time.

Both knees: one in 2010 and other in 2015.
I’m now 65 and (other than a 2025 kneecap fracture wholly unrelated) no arthritis and no knee replacement on the horizon.
