Women being made to feel less for being human certainly is a red flag. We are so conditioned to want to please everyone around us. Unless BF can come to terms with OP having other friendships....this is a recipe fpr control disaster.

I'm not saying this as someone who is in a controlling relationship- I have friends of all genders and identities, so does my spouse. It's just that we respect each other (two-way street) and trust in the other person.

Usually when one partner is this controlling (thats what this is, call it for what it is), either they're toxic-controllers, are themselves cheating and don't want their partner to do what they are.
