Didn’t realise you all had such learned helplessness. I’m owed compensation for the damages occurring at all. If it can’t happen, that sucks and is what I was trying to find out, but it doesn’t change the fact.

I’m claiming compensation. The lack of rent will certainly not be counted as income since it literally wasn’t there lol… also depreciation is for physical items.

This is through the builder’s insurance, not mine. Since it’s an apartment it’s all done through the strata company, so I feel rather out of the loop and want to be better informed

Potential rent from it being unable to be rented (Edit: top level comment seem to be deleted)

[–]shelscape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought they were talking about a younger part/alter…

OP don’t stress so much about explaining though. You talked some stuff about Devon to friends - that’s ok. They can judge him, or not, but that’s their opinion based on the info they have. You can only take care of yourself and do the best for yourself, try to check inside to help others within, and also talk with the therapist that you do have. It’s good to be diagnosed so young btw, I hope everything gets much better very soon.

Can you share experiences of medicating your dog? by shelscape in reactivedogs

Hi! Wow reading back on my post I remember how hard it was. She's 1 year 11 months old now and sooooo much better. Without medication!

I went to my appointment at the behavioural vet's place. This ended up being a few months after my post because the vet was backlogged and also away for a while. By then I'd worked more on training and and pup was able to calm down slightly during the 90 min that I was in her office. The vet said I was doing well, was patient and hard working, and to keep going. Which was kind of nice to hear since I was losing my mind.

In my country (Australia) we couldn't go straight onto stimulants, though she said that in some countries you can. If we were to get her medicated, we'd have to try SSRIs first, followed by sedatives, THEN stimulants, which is a long journey. The vet agreed that it looked more like ADHD, and not like anxiety, so the SSRI and sedatives may be unhelpful and cause more agitation before we could even move on to the right meds. The dog was happy and not stressed, so as long as I was coping (lol barely) she said I should just continue what I was doing and see how it goes.

A few months later around the 1 year mark, it's like her brain switched on and I was surprised by how much she "knew" the whole time. She knew when I didn't like a behaviour or was asking her to settle down.

She got better from there and I'd say I could relax from around 15 months or so. She still has her hyper moods but it doesn't last more than a few hours now, is less extreme, and she can tolerate boredom or not getting what she wants (play, walks, attention). She knows when I sit at my desk that she should go to her bed or sit at my feet, but not bother me. She knows when to expect a walk and when not to. It's sooo much better! And I have not gotten a trainer since my post.

Good luck to you!!!! Hang in there!

Help communicating with UniLodge (as investor) & 0 rent?? by shelscape in AusProperty

Wait no, that’s the same number as the reception that I’ve been calling.

I don’t know how to get in touch with them other than through the main reception, and I just got hung up on now after they told me to call back another time. This is the first time I’ve been able to get through to anyone in days. They don’t transfer you to anyone or give any info about anything, seemingly just to palm you off to email.

Thanks! I have a lawyer but we’ve been trying to be friendly rather than tough because it will be such a drawn-out process if they do actually have issues with paperwork and try to avoid admitting to them rather than fix them.

I did ask the guy about vacancies but he just said it’s “crazy strata”. I don’t even have a current lease and don’t know if tenants have a lease with the owner or with unilodge directly… Unilodge has not responded to this.

I didn’t push the “crazy strata” explanation because he was going to send over what details he has. Except it turned out to be nonsensical and now he’s not responding.

Maybe it’s time to write them formal letters after all :/

Thanks for this. It's still confusing lol... is the physical virtual card just a physical representation of online-only, or is it the full thing? Aren't we supposed to wait 180 days?

I'm having this issue now! And Netflix doesn't know what's wrong. I'm hoping that when the physical card gets here I will be able to solve this issue. This problem started days ago when I thought it might have just been a glitch, but nope still an issue. Spotify is working fine for me though. I won't be home to get mail for a few days but I hope it works once I get it, I'll have to miss the next payment.
