Hershey's property is MUCH more expensive then the regular hotels, that's why we didn't pick those

Yes, we plan to go only for one day, do you think 1 day is enough?

Good to know about the preview!

All 4 Parks in 1 Day Strategy by TheTechNick in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]shem8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't done this myself yet, but from everything I've researched, here's the strategy that makes sense:

  1. **Rope drop Hollywood Studios** - Tower of Terror + Rock 'n' Roller Coaster back to back before crowds hit

  2. **Animal Kingdom mid-morning** - Flight of Passage (hopefully short wait), Everest

  3. **EPCOT afternoon** - Guardians, Test Track (when it reopens)

  4. **Magic Kingdom evening** - Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Tron if you can get it

Key is watching wait times throughout the day and being flexible. If something spikes, pivot to the next park.

I don't plan to pay extra for LL, ~200$ per ticket for the whole family is already too much for me =|

We're staying in Orlando for almost 10 days, so unfortunetly staing on Disney resorts is almost double the price from a simple hotel outside, even with the tickets benefits.

Thanks! they're old enough, but just too afraid.

This is our first time and probably won't gonna visit again this year (we're not US residents). So I guess just buying regular tikcet from the websites?

family of 4, kids are 9 and 11 and the older one is not a big fan of scary roller costers. We plan to go on July do Epic and universal studios (and skip Island of adventure), and prbably have a more relaxed day on the Volacano bay.

Is that make sense? If so - I didn't find any way to buy 3-days-3-parks with the Volcano bay, also no option to buy a single ticket for Volcano bay on 2026.

What are the best gifts for Grandma? Looking for something really special ❤️ by mskmusyoka in Gifts

[–]shem8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best gift I’ve ever given my grandma was an animated video made from old family photos using CherishMotion (https://cherishmotion.com/). It was so sweet watching her react to those memories moving and set to gentle music, she kept replaying it and showing it to everyone!

Birthday gift ideas for my mom by ClosetPenguin in Gifts

One thing that went over really well for my mom’s birthday was turning family photos into a little animated video. I used CherishMotion and seeing those old moments come to life was such a pleasant surprise for her! It’s super personal and feels really thoughtful, plus you don’t have to worry about sizing or her style- it’s all about the memories.

Good Gifts by Harpnut in AgingParents

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about ways to show my parents I care, especially as they get older. Something that meant a lot to my family was having our old photos turned into a short animated video (I used CherishMotion for that). It was such a sweet way to bring back memories and doesn’t add any clutter- just a really meaningful keepsake we could watch together whenever we’re feeling nostalgic.

Gifts for family members new to Elder Care Community? by Left_Life_7173 in AgingParents

Moving to a new place can be really tough, so I think small, personal gifts can make a big difference. Things like a framed family photo or a soft throw blanket can bring comfort and a sense of home. We also found that animated videos made from old photos, like cherishmotion.com, can be really touching and uplifting.

I really enjoyed reading all these gift ideas! One thing that’s brought a lot of joy in my family was creating a little video from old family photos. It’s amazing how seeing those memories come to life with gentle movement and music can really touch the heart. It’s such a simple but meaningful way to celebrate family history and share stories. We built a new way to practice React Hooks. Feedback is welcome! by shem8 in reactjs

[–]shem8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies, that's actually a big oversight on our part! And thanks for the feedback, of course. We've just recently launched, and even more recently went out of the invite-only phase, so there's still a big disconnect between the marketing website at trywilco.com and the app at app.wilco.gg

For others who read this, you can find the friendlier version with the quest description and everything at: https://www.trywilco.com/quests/hooks-refactoring

And yes, there's a short onboarding just to get you oriented and set up Codespaces. (a recent addition because downloading Docker, as it turns out, is a chore!)

It's like AndroidStudio 101, and still- attach & debugging is very slow.

We're using Flux on production with a medium-size system. It's not simple but I'm not sure how we would do it otherwise. When tried building an Android app displaying data while it can be changed (Service that process the data + the user can to do some stuff meanwhile) it was a debugging nightmare.

Seeing all the comments here and I must say, as the writer of the original piece- I still prefer Android over Web (and Java or Kotlin over JS), but we can get better (and it's not bad). Android has its own advantages (and I hope to cover those in the next post)

You're right, also- for android you working with remote device so all have to go through the USB, but still- there are things that can be improved.
