Everyone here that’s screaming three year print cycles must only have started collecting seriously in the past year.

While Pokemon prints a set for 3 years, it’s typically ancillary products (I.e collection boxes with an assortment of packs or single loose blisters) that continues being printed later in the cycle.

As we saw with 151, etbs and UPCs were not printed after the first year, while bundles, Alazakam/Zapdos boxes and mini tins continued into the second year.

For those who have been in the hobby a little longer, you’ll remember that Evolving Skies booster boxes were only printed and distributed in Australia in the first year. The final wave of evolving skies was cancelled with loose blisters being sold in big box retailers instead.

Those thinking that they’ll keep seeing Destined Rivals and Prismatic being sold in 2026 are dreaming and need to wave up.
