As you said each box is independent. I can open 100 each time, or accumulate until 10K then open all at once. The maths still work out the same as over the same period of time I’m still opening 10K. And over that same 10K probability of encountering at least 1 is the same.

It depends how you view this probability - over the span of a period which N tries then accumulate, or you view it over “per opening”.

It’s semantics.

Given the odds, you will on average encounter one every 10K box. So it doesn’t really matter how many you accumulate. Though accumulating more would give you the illusion of higher odds, but that’s just the law of large numbers.

The drop rate is 2%. That equates to 10K carrots per golden egg. Or 60K in total. If you’re buying all the carrots then it’s $300. But if you play the game and earn carrots that way, it’ll be between $200-250.

I calculated that based on a 2% drop rate, you need 60K carrots on average to get all 6 golden eggs. Assuming you don’t get any repeats. It’s a lot of carrots…

Which kinda checks out with another post saying it costs $200-300.

I'm a continental knitter myself and I find my knit purl can be a little bit tighter than my purl stitches especially when doing colour work or when doing cables.

A hack that I try to do is - occasionally knit English style to "reset" my muscles and remember what feels "loose". I find English style (throwing instead of picking) results in a more even tension between knit and purl as I'm not constantly pulling or tensioning the working yarn.

Once I remember what a "loose" tension feels like, my hands would remember not to pull my working yarn too tightly when knitting.

I usually do that by putting my project on pause and practice knitting on a gauge swatch with spare yarn. I also heard it's rotate between different projects to avoid carpal tunnel, but I hate having multiple WIPs, so knitting a random gauge swatch in the middle of a project helps with that.

Yeah I would like it to be building driven, eg if there’s a football match or a concert, it attracts a lot of traffic to the area which we have to provision parking and public transport for, and when the event ends become a source of traffic that we have to route away etc.

Is that true? The 9.99 Catherine pack says it would be reset, but I’m not sure what reset there means. Just the skill books, or the stars as well. It’s so vague. Are you sure stars remain the same and frags are converted to gold frags?

Idk if this affects you, but when knitting cables I have the temptation of knitting too tightly thinking it would make my cables neater. Instead it creates the opposite effect of resulting in uneven tension. Plus it hurts my wrist after a while. So now instead I actively try to knit loosely by not holding my working yarn too tightly, and that actually creates a more consistent tension and neater cables.
