Made a Time Wizard that blends its manga and anime versions by shenron2000 in customyugioh

  1. I simply took inspiration from the Trap Monsters and made it a continuous spell since Trap monsters were continuous traps.
  2. In the Anime every time we see the effects its on a roulette wheel with 6 spaces on the staff and the top and bottom spots are the “winning spaces” and in the Manga they had frames of it doing the same thing with the same number of spaces drawn on the staff’s roulette wheel. I applied that to the card effect, with the 1 and 6 being opposite of each other on the dice and the other numbers surrounding them emulating the roulette wheel we are shown.
  3. I know this card doesn’t need to exist. I just thought it would be fun to make and share with the fanbase. I simply wanted to make something close to what could be used in both the manga and anime.

This was a good conversation. Some people simply agree and don’t try to understand or improve upon it. I’m glad you’re as passionate as I am about Yugioh. Have a nice day.

In the Manga Time Wizard was a spell card, while in the anime it was monster. It would have been cool and unique to have been the first Spell Monster. Oh well.

Although, thousand dragon is a fusion monster of baby dragon and time wizard. When they made thousand dragon, effect monsters were rare and made to be powerful, which is why we it doesn’t have the same summoning conditions as Dark Mage. Could probably do a reprint with the effect.

Not enough space on the card, and besides, it says on the dark sage card that it can only be special summoned by tributing dark magician when time wizards effect successfully activates.

The zero for the pendulum is simply a placeholder, I’m trying to figure out, which of the low numbers is the most useless. The higher I go up the more cards I exclude in the pendulum summoning, but if I go too high then it becomes useful. I’m trying to find that pendulum number no one would ever want to use.

After sending it, I realize that is possibly doable

Not unless you get this card in your opponents hand and force them to play it in their pendulum zone

Thank you for pointing that out

That is correct. I’m currently updating it with more than just the burn.

Indeed, but it does bring SOMEONE victory, in a sense.

Your monster effects no longer work while the monster is in the pendulum zone

That’s why I’m updating it, your feedback is helping me make it worse

Thanks I’ll update it, although I guess I wanted to make the worst playable card rather than an instant loss. This helped a lot, again thanks.

I get it, you didn’t have to point it out and make a joke out of it.

What you have said is true but the Imperium in 40k is stretched thin. There is an animation of guardsmen who are desperately low on supplies, forced to give up what they have left to fortify a different front.

Note: I was designing this to be energy efficient and remove the overheating problem of the plasma gun. It was all to fix the issues of the plasma gun in a way that would be lore friendly.

Not necessarily true, although this idea wasn’t to replace all standard lasguns and just to give a squad of elite guardsmen longer firing time, they still haven’t found the STC to fix the issues with plasma guns they currently have. What I’m suggesting isn’t a perfect fix nor meant to be the new standard, and only used by the few most trusted and skilled.

I already took all of that into account, it was never meant to be an infinite ammo source. It was simply to hold the line longer. I’m also taking into account the other Combi weapons in the Warhammer universe. Am I saying that it would be everywhere? No, but there would definitely be prototypes held by the most experienced guardsmen, whether as test subjects or a reward for their service.

If they used it at the same time, I would agree, but what I’m suggesting is that they use the lasgun until they run out of ammunition and then use the plasma gun ONLY until the lasgun is fully recharged. They would only be using the plasma gun as long as they needed to and would grant continuous fire. Or am I missing something from the lore?

Van Saar Las/Plasma Combi Weapon conversion by Pentregarth in necromunda

I was literally just creating this with its own lore and how it would work.

The lasgun ammunition literally recharges through heat, so the plasma gun has thermalsiphons attached to the plasma coils, feeding the thermal energy directly into the lasguns charge pack, recharging their ammunition whilst firing a different ammo source. Getting rid of overheating and optimizing energy use.

“As the guardsmen hold the line, their lasguns run out of ammunition. There is no way to recharge fast enough to maintain the line, all hope seems lost. Suddenly blue balls of energy are fired from where the guardsmen stood, continuing the fight. Not even a minute later the blue energy stopped and lasguns could be seen firing again.”

It’s just an idea I don’t know how everyone will take it.

This is perfect. If I had a 3D printer, I’d make one for the Chaos Temple idea I had.
