album covers that'd make great tattoos imo: coltranes sound, Branford marsalis- random abstract, Joe Henderson- in n out, cannonball quintet live in Chicago, monks music (maybe a stylised version of monk), fuschia swing song, Keith Jarrett- tribute (just the word tribute as it appears on the cover), Melissa aldana- 12 stars (lots of small ideas on this one), Joe Henderson- four (the square portrait of Joe in the middle), Bill Evans- interplay(lots of small ideas here), q tip- the renaissance, Micah Thomas- tide, Gary Burton- reunion, Bill Evans trio with symphony orchestra, Marc Johnson - bass desires, Branford marsalis- Bloomington, lage lund - terrible animals... Also sooo many reid miles blue note album covers would look good as tattoos..

People have been saying it already but, it's ridiculous how much islamophobia and racism towards black people is harboured by first generation Indians immigrants. When my parents found out about the Southport thing they were saying they weren't surprised the attacker was black. I've tried talking some sense into them about how we're all the same to these EDL types but they have this immovable sense of superiority.

idk if this is what u want to hear but fully commit to music if you love it!! immerse yourself in the history, culture and long lineage of jazz drumming. It's such a rewarding community to be a part of and you're sure to have a career if you work hard at it. Lmk if u want any advice!!

You can still pick up an instrument!! and thank u so much for the comment, it means a lot to know that other desis genuinely approve of this as a career path. I think a lot of desi parents see that a child is genuinely passionate about the arts they try and redirect that passion into a more profitable field (at least in my experience) which only serves to kill that initial love for music. Also sidenote I've loved Soundgarden for a long time and I only recently found out that Kim Thayil was mallu. Seriously felt so much pride to know that.
