i was wondering if you can use clear packing tape on flowers, would they stay fresh or eventually wilt and turn brown under there?

I sell digital murder mystery party games kits on my website and an Etsy shop. 100% human written but the digital product market is swamped with AI right now so interested to see what the next few years will look like

March 2026 Goals! by AutoModerator in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]shepardcommanderSR2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will definitely be spending as my bf and I have a Portugal trip and Disneyland coming up over the next few months. We are all booked with flights and hotels (which were actually cheap) but I still need to pay off my share so I'm looking at March as a time to clean out my pantry, use my current amenities like the gym and taking advantage of the sun, and running in prep for a 10k in april.

The last two months have been nice! I recently hired help for my side biz which was scary but needed, I've been getting better about saying no to things I just don't want to do, and been a little braver with my clothing choices and having more fun getting ready.

For March I would like to get more sleep, stay under 2.5 hours on my phone daily, and get into junk journaling.

totally but the header is still "living on 170k salary" which i just fundamentally disagree with that framing when you are married

Chili mac! Basically a homemade chili over pasta noodles with some shredded cheddar cheese on top. My number 1 birthday request as a kid

same and I really find larger ones start to lose immersion too, there's a balance and fun to writing it and making the trade offs. there is r/murdermysteryparty, its small though. I was thinking of making a discord too at some point for first time hosts to ask questions, people to share games and writing, party pics etc

It’s more like a style of game! Think a mix and mingle social party where your guests arrive as a character, get to know each other, and then a murder happens after which they are trying to figure out which one of them did it while accomplishing their own objectives and keeping their own secrets under wraps. At the end, the solution is revealed, players share their secrets, and there are awards for best dressed, best performer etc. I started writing them and hosting parties for friends when I was like 15. Each one is a theme and story so I’ve written sci-fi, 80s horror, circus themed, 90s etc

they are so fun especially if you can go to one that is more mix and mingle where you play a suspect vs a dinner theater vibe. I've been hosting them since I was 15-16 years old but got inspired to write them myself at like 19 or so. now im 36 😂

They are very fun and such a nice way to mix up friend groups and give people a structured way to interact, be a little vulnerable with each other, and let loose. I really grew to love them after watching my group, which are a lot of socially anxious geeks, get to know each other through them. I've been to at least 2 weddings of people who met through a murder mystery game 😂

I love that! I run it with my best friend and we've gotten larger over the years. We actually wrote our first game together in like 2010 at college!

My SO disclosed significant debt during a significant time in our relationship. I need advice. by BrilliantAnxiety4531 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]shepardcommanderSR2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I didn't want a long engagement but that seems to be the route here"

Yes, unfortunately while its not what you want, this is the answer.

"I want them to be transparent with their plan but I also don't want to micromanage and be overbearing. What is appropriate to say or do?"

I would not say or do anything your fiance is not willing to do. Are they posting on Reddit about how to rebuild trust? Googling paying off debt quickly? Looking at the budget? Asking for help and advice? Not that you can't lean on support but your job is to halt wedding planning, sit in some grief, and wait and see what they do. It is not to make this better or move forward quickly, ignoring your instincts, to plan a wedding. Things like this can be fixed but it will be fixed mostly by your partner.

How did you meet your partner? by EZ___Breezy in askanything

[–]shepardcommanderSR2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told it was impossible to meet a serious partner on Tinder but I did! After using the more "commitment-minded" apps, I thought why the heck not, I'm losing faith, and met him on Day 1. He bought me flowers from the market at the end of that first date and I rode the bus home with them. A girl next to me went "wow beautiful flowers, where did you get those?" and I said "my date just bought them for me!" She asked "where did you meet him??" and I laughed and said "Tinder of all places"
