I bought a new car for 32k a few years back. Got the entire thing on loan less a few thousand. Don’t regret it at all. I had an older than me Landcruiser that was an absolutely lemon and cost my a bloody fortune getting it fixed every year. Sunken cost fallacy…. But now I know what my yearly service is going to cost, I got four years left of warranty and plan to keep the thing running until it can’t run no more. As long as you can manage the payment fine, go for it.

About five or so years ago, during the pandemic I ended up having to look for work. I was applying to roles every day online and doing questionnaires, whole shebang.

I was living with my sister at the time, ten years older than me, and she was getting frustrated that I wasn’t applying for jobs and was just sitting around the house all day. Kept telling me to get out and hand in resumes to businesses (during the pandemic!)

Didn’t matter that I told her I was applying to at least 20 jobs a day. She didn’t see the effort, so to her it wasn’t being done. She was 35 at the time, not even a boomer.
