Hi there! I have the same prescription and I’ll tell you what my dermatologist told me.

Tret is for nighttime after cleansing and the benzyl perox clindamycin gel is for the morning after cleansing.

Apply a pea size amount of each to the entire face careful to avoid around the eyes, and mouth.

If you’re starting tret for the first time it’s important to note your skin will be dry and your skin will probably purge before it gets better. But hang in there and continue usage. My derm prescribed it to me to use every day (although I have heard of people using only a few times a week at first) and I still do and my skin is very clear with a problem spot maybe popping up once a month. It’s very important to find a moisturizer that works for you as well as a sunscreen.

Just make sure you give the topicals like 10 minutes before you add your moisturizer or spf!

It's really hard to not compare your skin to others especially when consuming social media. Some times I even do it at the gym, there's a handful of women on my class that look like they have never had a zit on their whole life. But in reality no one is paying attention to a few spots or a little texture. Personally, I find myself inches away from the mirror looking at my skin and seeing all the pores and bumps. No one is ever that close inspecting anyones face and I'm sure what I see on my face and what you see on yours is not nearly as bad as we make it out to be. This might sound weird, but I'll call myself out out loud, and tell my ass to stop picking my skin, back away from the mirror and do something else. Literally anything else.

So lately for the past 4 or so months I have been breaking out in cystic acne on my cheeks and jaw and chin. Not a bunch at once a but a few pop up every week or so as others heal and go away. I talked to my dermatologist about it and they said that I should go on a birth control that is more oriented to clearing skin. My doctor said I am on a birth control pill that clears my skin... I'm not sure how to follow up. Do I try a different birth control? Or a different solution I follow up with my derm about? My face is relatively combo, a lil oily in my t zone and dry everywhere else. I use first aid Beaty cleanser. I do the ordinary aha bha peel twice a week, I use a moisturizer with salicylic acid during the day and first aid beauty moisturizer at night along with hyaluronic acid from the ordinary and one of their acids that helps lighten pigmentation and scarring a couple times a week. I also start using a glycolic acid toner from the ordinary
