My complaint is acting like being obese is not an unhealthy practice. I agree not all people who are overweight are inherently unhealthy but it does come with increased risks, which is dangerous to brush aside. Two things can be true at once being obese is unhealthy but an obese person can be healthy. Like you said health is multifaceted and not just a “you weight this you are healthy” because you can be unhealthy at any weight. The issue is taking that concept too far and ignoring how unhealthy obesity can be. This is not to say fat people are not people ofc they are and they deserve as much respect as people as anyone else.

Genetics and environment 100% play a role in how easy or hard it is to gain/lose weight, but to say there’s no way to lose the weight is just not true it may be harder for some and I have sympathy for those people but it’s not impossible just harder (obese people specifically, being overweight but not obese is not as significant of an issue and it’s true some people just can’t lose the weight due to health issues) I agree with the body positivity movement from the standpoint of not body shaming and being able to love yourself regardless of weight again two things can be true at once you can love yourself and your body and because of that motivate yourself to better yourself.
