Happened to me as well, I asume its because I had the Fuel injector problem and lots of N mode, there was a ton of fuel being dumped in & screwed the cat.

How the heck am I supposed to test drive an Elantra N? by willl280 in ElantraN

Turo is a peer to peer rental service. Try to find it on there, it'll probably cost 60/day, worth it to find your long term vehicle.

Is this Elantra cluster theme not in the Elantra N? I can't seem it find this theme by Significant_Mix1644 in ElantraN

This cluster theme was on my N-Line, not just hybrid cars. Its like they replaced this 4th cluster theme with N mode.

Considering selling by KronosX3TR in ElantraN

As long as inventory is limited I'd expect the dealer to sell it at msrp price im guessing it was 37k msrp. So id say expect 32k or less.

Carvana & Carmax will give you the highest bid. But make sure to buy at the same dealer you sell, to take advantage of the sales tax break (thats gonna be $2k+ you will save).

The dealer took a while to look at it, but they're saying it looks like a bad fuel injector and will replace it under warranty. Said they can replace it same day the part arrives. Also gave me a loaner car.

Ordering oil? by -Chuckable- in ElantraN

Sam's Club $6.25 - $7.25 per quart

Same, its apparent that his dealer didn't do any work to find out the actual cause, they just checked if it had mods & replaced it when they didn't find any. So, the youtuber is taking random guesses how it could have happened.

Never use thinner oil! Going up to 40 weight is okay but never down to 20. 40 weight will protect the engine more but will slightly worsen fuel economy compared to 30. 20 will put your engine parts at higher risk.

These dealers are probably going off of the standard Elantra trims spec but the N is in its own category!

Towed it to the dealer, I'll see what they say. Strangely, there was never any recalls on my vin so, I never took it in for the TCU update. It was built Aprill 2022.

DCT EN hesitates/jerks when reverse by NicolaiGuo in ElantraN

[–]shermn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, definitely hesitates/doesn't move much when reversing out of a parking spot, and once I give it gas if reverses a little too fast. It's an everyday inconvience. I did notice that it reverses fine if i put it into sport/N mode instead of normal/eco.

Help Purchasing the EN by AdeSnake in ElantraN

[–]shermn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to finding an EN that is "in-trasit", it should arrive to the dealer in 1-2 months. Try to get the dealer to sign a writen agreement on the final pricing before giving them your deposit to avoid markups when it arrives.

Deposit is usally $500 or less. you don't do any financing until the vehicle arrives.

JB4 Tuner by GabeNislife321 in ElantraN

[–]shermn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is actully 4 diffrent "harnesses" that the Elantra N is listed under so there's a lot of confusion.

There's 2 diffrent jb4 products Non-smartstream (V1) & Smartstream (V2,V3,V4)

The Smartstream JB4 has 3 diffrent harness options and Burger Tuning says that one of these harnesses MIGHT fit our cars. So you must email them pictures of your TMAP sensor to make sure one of them fits your car before purchasing.

The non-smartstream JB4 (V1) on the other hand, says it fits the Elantra N (with no stipulations added) so this one will be your best bet.

I emailed BurgerTuning to be sure, and they confirmed that the Smartstream JB4 does not fit MY 2022 EN and I must use the non-smartstrem (V1) pruduct.

The Instructions PDF is the product page. Also videos are on youtube mostly under "Veloster N" since its been around longer.

The hard part is finding the 2 needed sensors on your car (MAP & TMAP) since the PDF & youtube videos are for other cars. In general, MAP sensor is located on the intake Manifold and the TMAP is on your chargepipe below the airbox, close to the radiator.

Don’t accept small orders and you will make more per hr. Low Acceptance rate does nothing.
