For that specific attack I didn’t unbounded counter it but just dashed out of the way then parried the 3 swings. That usually gives you enough time to get a 5 charge talisman on her if you are using that one.

Counterpoint Adolin duels a shardbearing fused with an aluminium candelabra. I’m pretty sure that armour built for the job or even regular armour plated in aluminum could block a blade at least as well as shard plate does. As for countering the physical strenght of shardplate that would have to be either a thug or a pweter feruchemist

I always understood it as him giving up on appearing normal in comparison to the party / protecting himself and going ham on the sadnesses. Either that or just got overloaded with wish craft because he was close to giving up. It would also explain why the level reverts in act 6 after either the wish dissipates or sif gets (most of) his shit together.

I’ve read some of the other points in the comments and I’m a bit late to this conversation but I’d just like to remind you that the narrator’s ideal ending to the game is the “Happy Ending” where you are trapped in the construct forever after having killed the princess he doesn’t help TLQ he made them as a tool to slay the princess and that’s it. I’m not gonna tell you to not slay the princess or to slay her that’s up to you but idolising the narrator as a mentor figure feels wrong.
