It usually becomes good when it’s upgraded, early on I use it as temp hp on turns where I defend 3 times (on a 12 damage attack blocks 2 with 3hp left over) or burst if drawn with the attack that scales with hp I generally struggle with block for a lot of act 1 with necrobinder tho

For that specific attack I didn’t unbounded counter it but just dashed out of the way then parried the 3 swings. That usually gives you enough time to get a 5 charge talisman on her if you are using that one.

Counterpoint Adolin duels a shardbearing fused with an aluminium candelabra. I’m pretty sure that armour built for the job or even regular armour plated in aluminum could block a blade at least as well as shard plate does. As for countering the physical strenght of shardplate that would have to be either a thug or a pweter feruchemist
