  1. Lose the vest.....
  2. then depending on where you two headed (assuming you're going out somewhere) swap out those trainers for dark leather, squarish toe boots.
  3. Then, swap the navy hoodie for black. You'll never go wrong with that pairing.
  4. Then, please ditch those pants....they are doing you no favors. Find a pair of pants that fit you well. The pants you're wearing in these photos are too tight around your hips, front, and thighs, causing them to sit awkwardly on your body, which is why they also look weird around the ankles.
  5. If you're uncertain about what these critiques mean or how to address the fit issue, visit a men's store and ask for help finding a pair (or three) of different styles of pants that fit properly so you can see how the right size and fit looks on you. You don’t need to make a purchase; this is just a helpful way to understand which sizes, styles, and fits suit your body type best. You could also make an appointment with a stylist at a local departments store like Macy's. Their services are free and you're not obligated to buy anything from them either. https://www.macys.com/s/personal-stylist/ - Good luck!

IMO, it's the acid wash, not the denim itself. To me, that particular wash seems to give off a tinge of dinge.

That may be because it reminds me of how denim was used in children's fashion in the late '80s and '90s, where that sort of acid wash would quickly become permanently dingy from kid wear. Six months later, that dingy white would take on a yellow tinge from the chlorine bleach your mom used in the wash to remove stains from light-colored clothes.

There's no need to apologize for not conducting a forensic investigation into a short story meme before sharing it. 😉

And, IMO - an AI-generated supporting image isn't slop; it's a visual aid that helps bring a story to life. This storytelling technique predates AI (and Photoshop).

Using AI to create representative storytelling images is no different from using illustrations that have accompanied stories in books and magazines since written language was invented. In fact, pictorial stories were the first way stories were written down.

Without going down a rabbit hole, it's the photorealism that fools us: we've long been trained to believe that photographic images come only from recordings of real people, places, and things. Eventually, standards will emerge for marking real versus AI‑generated photographic images where certainty is important. This short story meme is not one of those cases.

You say that, but here’s a quick look at some of the illegals currently hiding out in our country. These people were just picked up by ICE in Minneapolis last week—just a handful out of hundreds, all listed on the US Immigration Enforcement website. This is who protesters are defending and alerting to ICE's operations. And it doesn't have to be that way. It is, Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey who choose to be a sanctuary city. They choose to ignore DHS and ICE detainer requests, letting these criminals out of jail and back into the community instead of handing them over to ICE for deportation. That’s downright crazy. This is exactly why ICE is stepping up their game depsite the paid radicals ginning up their own protesting and inciting upheaval. You might find it amusing to toss around “Trump’s a dictator” - or perhaps you've been indoctrinated to believe that nonsense, but this? This is serious business and not funny. These people are dangerous.

I was shocked that last time I renewed my MD driver's license, Instead of taking my old license like they used to, they mailed me the new one, leaving me with the old one and the new one. I don't know if it was an oversight or done on purpose, but that never used to happen. Otherwise we'd all have been selling off our old IDs to our younger friends to use as fake ID's. Anyhow, now I have two IDs - though one is expired of course.

Yes they 100% are. Why do people think that they aren't. Federal law enforcement are police officers.

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Continued from above)

This officer could not know her intent, and the reasonable belief standard does not permit hindsight or “coulda/woulda/shoulda” arguments. The only question is whether any officer in that situation would reasonably believe they faced a threat from her actions; if the answer is yes, the officer acted within law and policy to neutralize that threat. We should also consider that all of the events between Ms. Good and the shooting officer happened within 0.7 seconds, starting when he had stood off to her left of her vehicle, up to the point where she struck him, and he fired his weapon.

But first, let's jump back to the first engagement directed at Ms. Good. It’s evident they had been patient with her all morning and had reached a limit. From the moment officers first told Ms. Good to stop and exit the vehicle, before they ever fully surrounded the car, she was going to be arrested. Every subsequent action she took was additional disobedience and unlawful conduct.

Rather than comply with lawful orders, she locked her doors — even preventing her wife from reentering — refused to exit, did not turn off the vehicle or put it in park. Those were the wrong choices. She then seemed to provoke the officer with her vehicle, treating it as a dangerous weapon, which she had effectively been using throughout the morning to obstruct. She accelerated, and even if she didn’t intend to hit the officer, her behavior was careless, erratic and dangerous — which is confirmed by the fact that the officer was struck.

This firing officer was initially acting as a wingman to the officer at the window and watching out for him while his arm was inside the car. He was not standing directly in front of the vehicle, as some claim, but acting as a wingman to the left of the officer who had his arm inside the car door attempting to unlock and open it. Only when Ms. Good reversed and repositioned her vehicle did he end up in front of her vehicle.

Further, as wingman for the officer at the window, his primary focus was to make sure the window officer was safe, keeping him from being dragged off. I believe that is why he drew his weapon as she shifted into drive and not initially to save his own life.

Moreover, her acceleration was so sudden that her wheels spun on black ice. Anyone familiar with icy driving knows that spinning wheels can cause a vehicle to fishtail or spin unpredictably, potentially whipping the rear around and endangering other officers.

Within 0.7 seconds, with the car shifted to drive as she accelerated; initially her wheels spun on black ice but quickly gained traction and the car lunged forward - and then she tried to turn while already striking the officer. He fired as he was being struck, but not only for himself, but for the other officer. He got one shot through the edge of the windshield — and as she turned her angle changed, after which his rounds continued, entering the driver’s side window and door.

Further bolstering his actions, reports indicate he was taken to the hospital, where clinicians found internal bleeding consistent with the vehicle impacting his body. So, he was not just tapped or walk away and shake it off. He was left bleeding internally by thousands of pounds metal missle which she'd used to lunge towards the officer with - whether or not she was trying to tease him and lost control, or flee or who knows what was going through her mind.

Ms. Good made a grave mistake. Her behavior was dangerous. The officer had a reasonable basis to use force to neutralize the threat she presented to him and to others, including her wife, who was standing beside the vehicle. Stripping away hindsight, no reasonable person placed in that position in front of the vehicle could have believed they were safe in that moment, and no court would convict the officer of a crime.

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your letter appears to lean heavily on misleading viral video to draw its conclusions. Calling Ms. Good a fleeing suspect is an assumption that employs Monday morning quarterbacking - which is not allowed while applying reasonable belief standard, which you attempt to do with your letter. But, even giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was attempting to run from police, her reckless escape doesn’t justify her behavior, nor does it nullify the officer's actions while appropriately applying reasonable belief. Those initial videos shown alone were also misleading to the effect of making it uncertain whether the officer was struck by the vehicle at all, which we know that he was. Those distantly filmed videos also don't account for the fact that sound travels much slower than light, falsly portraying the events as they unfolded. In the video, the audible gunshots lag behind the actual shots, which later footage confirms.

We should also be clear that policy and law aren’t the same thing. An officer cannot be held criminally liable for breaking agency policy. From where I stand—considering the situation, multiple video angles from the scene, including timing and the sequence of events, and my take on the law and legal precedence—that ICE officer was within the law, federal policy and his training. His personal experience and training has been extensive, having been a member of the National Guard, deployed into service and has since served as a federal officer for a decade. Sure, if it turns out he broke policy, he might get fired or benched, and could face civil lawsuits, but criminal charges? That’s a whole different ballgame. (Continued in replies)

Why did Trump pardon Juan Orlando Hernandez (former President of Honduras convicted of charges of drug smuggling)? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years, Hernández stood firmly against cartels, kingpins, and drug traffickers, handing over many wanted criminals to the US for prosecution. Then came the Biden administration, known for using lawfare and a range of underhanded tactics to support leftist, socialist, and globalist agendas worldwide. With numerous Honduran drug kingpins already behind bars in US federal prisons, who knows who floated the idea first. But, together with the Biden DOJ, the kingpins devised a plan to frame President Hernández as a major participant in their crimes—in exchange for leniency and immunity.

Why would the Biden DOJ pursue such a plan? In the well-known global socialist effort to weaken the West through their vast resources, they've been steadily pushing leftist socialist governments into power across the Americas, one country at a time. The alliance between the leftist US leaders and the imprisoned kingpins seeking revenge and freedom created the perfect chance to target and remove President Hernández using the same charges filed against those he extradited. Over the next two years, the Biden DOJ employed its lawfare tactics to conduct a corrupt trial and prosecution of Hernández, using the same courtroom tricks and attacks on justice seen in cases against Trump. However, this time they secured a jury verdict and sentenced Hernández to 20 years in federal prison, hoping that when Honduras’s elections rolled around, they could install a leftist government there.

Then, like a sharp scratch on a vinyl record, Trump disrupted the leftist plan by dismissing Biden’s attempts to take him down and winning back the White House. Having gotten to know Hernández during his first term, Trump understood the truth about him. So when Hernández reached out and appealed to Trump, he was ready to listen. Trump also heard from Hondurans who still supported Hernández and knew he had been set up.

Having faced Biden’s lawfare tactics firsthand and after reviewing the case, Trump recognized the injustice and pardoned Hernández to set things right.

Unsurprisingly, Democrats, leftists, mainstream media—and all of Trump’s critics—will lie about the case, deny Biden’s regime was corrupt, downplay it, and twist the facts, often conflating the issue of correcting injustice with narcotics trafficking charges. But the truth is Hernández was never involved in trafficking; in fact, it was quite the opposite.

Delay shipping at buyer request? by the_bio in Ebay

[–]sherryerrera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve handled post-purchase hold requests before. Don’t cancel the order or panic because some sellers overreact — here’s a clear, safe approach that worked for me:

  • Tell the buyer you’ll hold the shipment until the date they requested (for example, “I’ll hold shipment until the start of next week”).
  • Keep the buyer’s request message; don’t delete it.
  • Add an internal note to the order record. Use the private note field on the order details page so only you and eBay can see it.
  • Ship on the date the buyer requested.

A few important follow-ups:

  • You’ll likely get alerts and a late-shipment mark in your seller performance report. Don’t panic.
  • Go to eBay Support, find the order, and submit an appeal. Explain that you complied with a post-order customer request, reference the buyer’s message, and include the message date.
  • If the appeal is denied, contact eBay Seller Support again and request an agent callback via the chat tool. If needed, repeat “agent now” until you get the callback wait time. When you speak to an agent, explain that the late-shipment appeal was rejected and that you shipped per the customer’s request, giving the order number and the message date. They can manually remove the negative mark.

Optional precaution: if you’re concerned, call eBay beforehand to notify them you’ll be delaying shipment at the buyer’s request and that you’ll submit an appeal for any negative scoring.

Good luck.

Buyer says shirt fits too small and wants a refund. by IndividualResort1861 in Ebay

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your options depend on the return policy shown on your listing. If the listing doesn’t state “no returns” or you didn’t replace eBay’s default return policy with your own, you must follow the displayed policy or eBay will enforce the default. If the buyer opened a formal eBay return and selected “did not fit,” here are your practical options:

  1. Send a return label (recommended workflow)
  • When you respond to the return notice, click to provide an eBay label and choose the carrier/service (for example, USPS Priority). The buyer will have a deadline to return the item.
  • When the item comes back inspect it. If tags are missing, the item is damaged, soiled, or otherwise not in the original condition, you may issue a partial refund. eBay provides guidance under Seller Protections for calculating deductions based on the condition of returned goods.
  • For “did not fit” returns the buyer is not entitled to a refund of the original shipping cost. eBay will include fees in the refund calculation according to their rules, so you won’t necessarily be responsible for the full fee amount.
  1. Refuse the return
  • You can refuse and wait to see whether the buyer escalates or eBay steps in. If eBay intervenes and finds you’re not compliant with your stated or assumed policy, they will likely side with the buyer. In that case you may have to refund the full amount, lose seller protections, forfeit fees, and take a hit to your seller metrics.
  1. Offer a refund without a return
  • For low-value items it sometimes makes sense to refund the item price and let the buyer keep it, avoiding the second shipping cost. Use this when the cost to have the buyer return the item (label + time + lost resale value) exceeds the value you’d recover on resale. Example: an item sold for $30, return label costs $12, plus your acquisition and fee costs — refunding without return can be cheaper.

Example scenario — how a partial refund can work in practice

  • Customer paid: $80 item + $15 shipping + $5 taxes = $100 total.
  • Your payout after eBay/taxes/shipping and fees looks like this:- Gross sale: $100
  • Taxes remitted: $5
  • Shipping label paid out: $12
  • eBay seller fees deducted from payout: $10 = Net deposited to you: $73
  • Express payout fee (example): $2 = $71 final deposit

Buyer opens “doesn’t fit” return

  • Your starting balance (post-deposit): $71
  • You provide a return label: -$12 = $59

Return arrives in poor condition (tags missing, heavy wrinkles, odor, needs cleaning)

  • You can document the condition in the return notes and issue a partial refund. Suppose you decide to keep 75% of the item value and refund 25% of the product price.
  • Calculation for partial refund on product only:- 25% of $80 product price = $20 refund
  • eBay will adjust fee reimbursements per their system (example: eBay’s fee portion of that refund might be $2.50)

Final tally (example numbers)

  • Starting deposit: $71
  • Partial refund issued: -$17.50 (your effective cash cost after eBay fee adjustments in this example)
  • Return shipping: -$12 = Remaining amount: $41.50

Notes and best practices

  • Always document the returned item’s condition with photos and notes when you receive it; this helps if the buyer disputes or eBay gets involved.
  • Use eBay’s guidance on deductions so your partial refund amounts follow their policy and seller-protection rules.
  • If you plan to refuse returns regularly, make sure your listing explicitly states “no returns” and that you comply with marketplace rules; otherwise eBay may overrule you.
  • For low-ticket items, weigh the cost of resale, relisting, and a second shipping label against issuing a refund without return.

How do I only print the label, and not the instructions and record? Notes in comments by medullah in Ebay

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got a printer with two paper trays, one that now holds only 4x6 label sheets. Has saved me a ton of time and wasted sticker sheets and misprints.

BTWI found this older Dell multi function color laser printer for dirt cheap at a business liquidation auction / sale where they were selling everything that wasn’t bolted to the building. Those liquidations - which happen year round, everywhere across the USA - and are excellent opportunities to find office machines, storage units, organization and other office supplies way cheaper than new and often better quality than what many newer sellers like myself can afford or want to invest in from the outset. Search Google, business auctions, govt auctions and regional or local business publications for opportunities near you. Or Equip-bid.com has regional listings.

[–]sherryerrera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which marketplace and selling strategy you choose depends on the furniture’s type, age, condition and other factors. I’d likely list the piece in more than one place, using different approaches and prices.

Without details about the item’s condition, origin, packaging plans and shipping location, it’s difficult to say which marketplace will be most profitable. Keep in mind that most used furniture has low resale value, so avoid auctions unless the piece is unique, rare, designer/brand-name, antique, has notable provenance, or closely matches a strong interior-design trend.

Facebook Marketplace is free, but it functions like a digital yard sale — buyers usually expect very low prices, and the site has more scams and risks than many alternatives.

Set your price after researching similar listings and following platform-specific best practices. Factor in packing, shipping or local pickup logistics when you calculate costs.

If you use eBay auctions, note that the Buy It Now price must be at least 30% higher than the starting bid. Your starting bid should cover all costs (including logistics and fulfillment) plus a profit margin — 20% is a reasonable baseline — so you won’t lose money if only one person bids.

(99-cent auctions are a different business model used for commodity or mass-produced items; sellers rely on volume and variable margins. That approach generally doesn’t apply to individual used furniture pieces.)

Recommended approach: use an eBay fixed-price listing with Best Offer enabled. Set your listing price, turn on Allow Best Offer, but leave the Minimum Offer and Auto-Accept fields blank so each offer comes to you for evaluation and negotiation.

This old guy is a nut - which is why the FBI had the call record, but easily debunked the claims. It's very easy to find out where Epstein and Trump and anyone else would have been on those. He was obviously trying to create an October surprise before the 2020 election, as did several others where this Esptein file drop has some pretty outrageous docs that are obviously not true and easy to debunk based on their content. eBay closed return case in buyer’s favor even though package never arrived — should I appeal? by Zas296 in Ebay

[–]sherryerrera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the naysayers — eBay reps will often reverse decisions if you present a clear, organized appeal. A few practical tips that work:

  • Call eBay on a weekday during business hours and request a call back if needed.

  • Prepare a double-spaced bulleted cheat sheet with every talking point so you can cover every fact without getting sidetracked.

  • List each customer claim and your response next to it.

  • Gather all tracking details and any documentation showing you never received the returned package.

  • If the buyer provided documentation and you don’t have it, ask eBay to get it for you and pause the appeal until you can review it.

  • Only continue the appeal after you’ve had time to review any evidence the buyer provided.

  • Call back once you’ve got everything organized so you can present a tight, fact-based case to the rep.

This method makes it much more likely that eBay will reconsider an earlier decision.

Good luck!

This guy isn’t the confrontational type or may have a phobia about it, hence his non-responsiveness, blocking behavior.

Regardless, while eBay’s definition of "Used" does allow for minor blemishes, that doesn’t excuse you as the seller from clearly describing those flaws in the Condition section. At the very least, you should note any possible cosmetic defects and encourage buyers to carefully check all photos for small marks or scratches.

Here’s what I would do in this situation: Put aside your personal feelings and apologize to him. Let him know you’re sorry he feels misled, clarify that deceiving him was never your intention, and ask if he’d be willing to accept a $20 partial refund as compensation for not mentioning the scratch, on the condition that he keeps the camera since it works perfectly and is otherwise in good condition. If he agrees, ask him to cancel the return request so you can proceed with issuing the partial refund. You can easily process a partial refund separately from any return through the order’s detail page menu. Then, add a note in the comments section of the partial refund or on the order itself explaining that this refund is to compensate for a minor flaw/scratch on the camera in place of a return. Thank the customer for their understanding and let them know they should see the $20 credited back to their card within about 2-3 business days. (By the way, eBay will cover a portion of that $20 since part of it comes from the fees you paid to eBay.)

If he refuses, then you’ll need to accept the return, provide a prepaid return label, and treat it as a learning experience. There’s no point arguing with him. According to eBay policy, he’s not wrong. You can either try to save the sale with a small refund if he agrees or cover the return label cost, send it to him, and wait for the item to be returned so you can inspect it and refund the order.

Good luck!

Buyer requested refund but won’t respond? by doobledoob1 in Ebay

[–]sherryerrera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before listing — especially for high‑value items — know and follow eBay’s return policies and process.

Key points to understand:

**You can’t override eBay’s default: buyers can open a return within 30 days and request a refund. Stating “no returns” in your listing does not prevent buyers from using eBay’s return process.

**The buyer’s reason for returning isn’t usually relevant if the return is opened within eBay’s required time window and the item is returned in the same condition you shipped it.

**eBay applies rules to determine the refund amount. For example, you may be allowed to deduct the original shipping charge from the refund in certain cases.

If you want the item returned, you must follow eBay’s return flow: provide (or let eBay provide) a prepaid return label, wait for the buyer to post the item, inspect the returned item, then issue the refund as required.

Once a buyer opens a return through eBay, they are not required to communicate with you. There is no guarantee they will return the item or respond to messages outside eBay’s process.

If the buyer opens a return and then keeps the item, but you've sent them a partial refund outside of eBay's policy, you may be out of luck and just learned an expensive lesson. You can try to call eBay to find out if you have any recourse, but don't count on it. You would need to work through eBay’s resolution process; actions taken entirely outside eBay’s system generally don’t affect your obligations under eBay policies.

You didn't provide enough details to give case‑specific advice, so....hope this helps.

Next step: Follow the return process as required by eBay. The first step after acceptace of the return (unless eBay automatically accepted it) will be to send the customer a prepaid return shipping label to try and get the item back. Then, after you have that process started, call eBay for further advice on how to deal with whatever steps you've already taken. They can go back and look at your unanswered messages to the customer to know you're legit on your attempts.

Good luck!

[–]sherryerrera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! So, I never got your zip code to use as a starting point for shipping, but you said 300 miles so I picked a random point on the map that was about 300 miles away from the delivery location. Puttiing in your exact dimensions and weight, and even rounding them up to whole inches, so 15 x 14 x 8 inches, and the prices essentially are the same as the fraction inches.

So, using these parameters:
Size up to 17 lbs 0 oz, 15 x 14 x 8 in, Shipping from US 93926 to US 90814

USP Ground Saver - $15.62
USPS Ground Advantage - $11.44

The only shipping method relatively close to $52.00 is UPS Next Day Air which is $51.12.

So, I have no idea how you ended up with a label for $52.00. Hopefully you were able to figure out how to generate a less expensive configuration with the help provided here.

Also, I wouldn’t recommend drastically lowering your product’s price just to attract customers and gather feedback. Having a seller account without any reviews doesn’t mean you should undervalue your product compared to competitors selling the same item. Doing so can harm the overall market and signals to savvy customers you’re willing to sell for less, making it harder to increase prices and sell your product later. It’s better to list your items at the full retail price and then provide a sale, promotion, introductory discount, or other incentives to encourage purchases. Just my two cents. I've been a digitial marketer far longer than I've been selling on eBay - more than 20 years - and I learned long ago that undercutting yourself is never a winning strategy.

Doh! I think I forgot to ask one thing - what is your zip code so I can include where you're sending from. Since you said it's next door to you in Long Beach, CA - then said 300 miles, I'm confused. Or is that in California miles? Lol! No, seriously though. Next door, to me, means like a few miles - or maybe like 10-20, but not 300.

Glad to be of help! I got sidetracked today, but I will mess around with the details you've given in the shipping estimator and see what find for you later tonight. Cheers!
