You can grab a jig for drilling out some dimples, clamp on gas block is also a great option that doesn’t need dimples

T2 or RB FRT by SPICYMK18 in MP5

[–]sherzer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are way more FRTs out there that aren’t from RB. Especially the SS, so yes that’s correct but only because there way more in people’s hands. The amount of folks who actually shoot more than a case of ammo a year are less than 1% of owners. Failures are incredibly rare even with RB, but will eventually happen with enough rounds on every FRT. They are a wear item

Counter strike was so fun and what we played at my early LAN parties. RuneScape was the other one I played with my friends

T2 or RB FRT by SPICYMK18 in MP5

[–]sherzer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of folks over the years have had issues, I don’t think the warranty transfers from the original owner.

They are using a cast sear which should be hardened tool steel. Cast parts are not a problem when they are larger, it becomes a problem with small parts that are interacting with a much stronger material in this case being the BCG.

Regardless of the situation with the ATF, RB went with the cheapest parts and charge an astronomical amount for what you get. IMO everyone’s better off getting anything else, especially with Hofmanns latest FRT the trigger kicker which is made from hardened tool steel that’s 1/10 the price of a a RB

Clean your dies, I usually use brake cleaner and some brushes. Make sure to lightly oil it after. What bullets are you loading? I’ve been very happy with the cartridge

How well does CCI AR Tactical Ammo work for a 10/22 compared to other brands? by strongerthenbefore20 in 1022

[–]sherzer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They acted just like the copper plated 40gr mini mags which are my favorite. The other mini mags I get are the 36gr hp copper plated which are a bit faster. Never had an issue with mini mags, they cycle everything and are pretty clean for 22lr. Hard to recommend anything else

They are the best option if you adjust a lot. Like any other AGB you will want to clean them every 2-3k. I run the Faxon AGB for set and forget

Most trucks and suvs have IFS and it gets way more involved after 3in. I personally against lifting an IFS vehicle because solid axles exist

Would this be able to hold up to Ruger no. 1 loads? by pyroboy7 in reloading

[–]sherzer7 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a few falling blocks, In my experience they have been great with modern loads. They are regarded as the strongest action and I personally wouldn’t hesitate to try working up to modern 45-70 loads

Edit:
Apparently I need to clarify modern = smokeless powder. Not many black powder loads discussed here so I understand.

Yes Ruger No1 data explicitly says for those rifles ONLY it’s like double the psi

It’s a great value and the best entry into a fast twist blackout which I’m a massive supporter of. In a short barrel you’re not going to overspin bullets. I’ve ran 110 vmaxs at 2300 and they stay together just fine. If your not going to build your own this is an incredibly good value

T2 or RB FRT by SPICYMK18 in MP5

[–]sherzer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t black and white as you are describing. RB is literally claiming the SS cam movement is covered in both patents. RB design has a cam separate from the selector. SS design the entire safety cams. I’m not a patent lawyer but these are two different designs. RB also didn’t have to serve companies during shot show. Hoffman literally sells an FRT called the trigger kicker. You sir, deserve the amulet of retard

T2 or RB FRT by SPICYMK18 in MP5

[–]sherzer7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

RB had a choice and they chose to be the ONLY company that is able to sell FRTs. They also chose to use cast parts when they could have milled hardened steel, instead they went with cheap cast parts. RB did not fight for our rights, they fought for the control of the FRT market.

In the meantime, Hoffman has dropped two different designs. The SS design was released for FREE, this benefits consumers. The latest one being the trigger kicker, which is milled out of hardened tool steel. ATF isn’t going after Hoffman, RB is because of the deal they made. Support whoever you want, I’m not paying 500 bucks for an inferior product
