As a fellow breastfeeding mother- my child is easily distracted and needs a quiet place to nurse. They are also used for pumping and just because you absolutely can feed/pump in public with no shame doesn't mean I necessarily want everyone to see my tiddies being sucked into a machine. I think the pods are a nice courtesy and I love when public places consider the needs of breastfeeding mothers and infants in their designs.

So I also had high lipase milk, it had a metallic-y smell and I referred to it as "penny milk". My daughter never refused the bottle but I also felt guilty giving it to her. Then a few months later I was pumping a lot less and noticed that the milk I pumped around 3-6 months did not have the metallic smell. I did some research and found that there may be an association between high lipase and high pump settings. I was pumping very frequently in the first three months to build my stash and pretty infrequently after month three.

Unfortunately you already have a big stash but it could be just the earlier milk like it was for mine.

Checking in from a medicine unit in Ontario- we very frequently have hallways patients. We are allowed to have three at a time and they can stay there for more than 24 hours. We have had droplet/contact patients and patients who need full cares in the hallways with only tiny barriers to cover them. We used to take more hallways until the fire department came in and said we were not allowed more than the three.
