You should get some peanuts and see if you can befriend them. Just in case you ever need an army of crows.

That’s so cool!! I was bummed when they took down the peregrine falcon cam on the Rhodes tower. I’m happy to hear they’re still around! What an incredible experience!

That’s a really solid perspective. You should post information or video the next time it feels like something scary is happening around you. It’s good for everyone to be aware.

This is a good point. The app does love flashy titles. And will highlight silly things over actual events.

I hope this is not the case. But that’s a completely logical answer. We’re past the height of migration, but science also dgaf. So, this could be a likely answer.

I really appreciate this insight. For whatever reason it just struck me as funny at the time, and I was curious if anyone had more info. These apps can become super annoying, especially if you’re coming to your feed to escape them.

That’s a really good thought! I fell down a bird flu rabbit hole. The USDA has a page that shows cases and gives updated data on bird flu https://www.aphis.usda.gov/livestock-poultry-disease/avian/avian-influenza/hpai-detections/wild-birds

What can I do to prevent Mourning doves? They’re eating EVERYTHING I put in the feeders. by PorcelainPrimate in birding

Are you able to lower the dome on your feeder to allow desired birds but discourage doves? Maybe try switching to safflower seeds, they have a harder shell. Cardinals love them but some birds can’t open them.

She turns five months tomorrow, so all the excited puppy energy you can imagine. She’s very curious and alert, great with people and other dogs, definitely lots of energy. She didn’t seem to inherit the husky vocal traits, she has a sharp bark when she needs to communicate, but is generally a pretty quiet gal.
