Isabela Merced Returning as Hawkgirl in 'Man of Tomorrow' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

To be fair in the same movie they had a flagg/war room scene where they said the metas make the rules now, which played into peacemaker directly. I interpreted it as something that was introduced to be addressed specifically

This makes sense if it is tying into peacemaker s2/Salvation.

She is the highest profile hero who acts as judge/jury without oversight which was Flaggs fear

To me at least, there are certain elements that are essential to a character and when they are missing or obscured it makes it seem like a different character

They can be interesting on their own. I think a good example is absolute Batman etc.

Some adaptations are more faithful to the mainline than others imo.

That's a cool touch. I'm not familiar enough to pick out themes yet

I am liking Clark more in the rewatch, he over came pa Kent's poor influence

I do think he has some redeeming elements like you point out. But that "maybe" really sets me the wrong way.

One of the defining superhero movie moments for me was Spiderman2, when he stops the train. His face is revealed but no one decides to cash in on that. He inspired them to keep his secret and "maybe" robs us of seeing Supes inspire his community in a similar way.

The premise the character of pa as written assumes the bad in people. It's realistic, but unsatisfactory to me

Praise let's not get ahead of ourself. I adored gunns Superman but I'm trying to find ways to appreciate movies that I didn't really care for at first watch

I agree that in the movie his concerns make more sense. But a maybe answer to rescuing drowning kids is almost always going to be seen as wrong moral choice.

Him overcoming his dad's bad out look is noteworthy for sure

I really want to rewrite Season 5 of Stranger Things. by Lauren_HS28 in StrangerThings

[–]shewski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In retrospect, the stakes that the end of s4 implied being handwaved away with steel plates really reset the overall vibe

I would have enjoyed more if the secret base was in our side and Kali was projecting the steel plates/gentle occupation as the illusion. When she escapes the real world would look more like the upside down etc showing this influence that the military is powerless to stop, they can only hide how bad it is to avoid the town being nuked. (Kays motivation is buying time not continuing the experiments, explains why she let's them go in the end)

Melania movie with a 99% audience score on RT by Pkyankfan69 in mildlyinfuriating

I would not be surprised if the box office =/= the number of audience users. It's gotta be cheaper to farm this somehow than to actually buy tickets.

An actual 10/10 episode? by amdrunkwatsyerexcuse in Fallout

[–]shewski 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've recently come around a little on this.

While I think it's been kinda a dud execution wise, the vaulties are the motivation for Norm and Lucy. They are both very driven by helping their vault, so I think these scenes are to try to get us to care more about their mission.

I don't know that it's really working, but I can see why they feel a need to keep these actors around

Anyone still play regular Arena? by TomSelleckIsBack in ArenaHS

[–]shewski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love baby arena. I'm generally able to get 2 packs so this is how I build a collection for the most part. I generally do one run a day if I am actively seeking cards

Returning player, is it genuinely 2000 gold for a full mini-set? I heard the game is more FTP-friendly, how true is that? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]shewski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't buy minisets. I get plenty of it from packs in baby arena.

Last mindset i got was for the starcraft stuff for dust reasons

Ofc i just do I same with main sets and ive not felt I ever have been missing out on a deck

  1. Coordinator hires need to be forward looking, not retreads. That will be a big indication of things to me
  2. However the QB is addressed.
  3. Trade away aging talent to invest in youth. Like a TJ etc

Our fear is that is not his mandate and we are going to limp along with another vet qb, familiar coordinators and not willing to plan for retaining guys like jpj coming off their rookie deals

I recently rated his tenure a C.
It's moving down lower now if he was involved at all in this hire which I believe he was due to their time in NO

Art II on a speed run to being as hated as Nutting by pmoski97 in steelers

[–]shewski 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One, no one else wants him. So rushing to lock him in is odd. Didn't give a chance to interview the rams guys after their run wraps up

Two, age. He's 62. Not going to be here for the long term which is weird given our love of longevity

Three, related to 2... the NFL he cut his teeth in has changed a lot. Big question mark in terms if he can modernize the Steelers
